Yeah this glitch is annoying. It doesn't happen often if you're smart about your calls, but I've actually had it where you literally can't summon any members. I should still have the replay for that game.
Problem with Ginyu is his 2 other assists are not good. Had the A gone full screen or got out faster then maybe, the C assist might as well not have an assist.
Good point on Trunks’ sword. I always thought it was their way of giving him his own Z Sword in a way to pay homage to Gohan having it. But his timeline got smoked by the Androids so idk how that would work lol
If Ginyu B assist is hit before summoning a member, Ginyu Force is unable to have two force members on the screen at the same time. Quite a few of Ginyu's most useful setups stop working entirely.

yeah I don't plan to give up on it, but it can be frustrating to use! There's just no way to guarantee purple comet will never be interrupted.

I would argue Ginyu A is pretty amazing now, it has like Vegetto A levels of hitstun now. The only problem with it is B exists lol
