Well, I made it today, I measured exactly and the triangles were not right. 🧐 So then I made them 7.5 and they are still short. No idea what I am doing wrong. I have your exact ruler and in your video you said measure on the 90° line but I think you mean the 45° line. I tried to pause and see it on my TV but of course youtube covers it up. In the end, I have a 12" block and I need a 12.5" for my pizza box swap. Thankfully we make two blocks for ourselves so I'm not wasting anyone else's fabric. I'm just going to put a quarter inch border around the outside of the block and it will be perfect. In the end, since all these blocks will be so different I am going to sash the quilt anyway. Thanks again.
Firstly yay for making it!! Second…thank you for your feedback. I probably did mean the 45 degree line. When a block doesn’t turn out the right size I would double check a few things: 1. Seam allowance 2. Ironing correctly and without steam or starch that might shrink your block 3. Fabric was cut out correctly. If all those are ok then it might be the pattern. Lol. Glad you can use it for your swap still. Happy quilting!
So how much fabric would you need of each for a twin size quilt? The video made it seem like something I can definitely do for my great granddaughter. Thank you
Hi Carolyn! I don’t have quilt aspects for this block unfortunately. I will let you know if I create that one day! That would be such a fun quilt! Thanks for watching 💜
How is that quarter inch seam line on your sewing table? Get me? I have one of those extended tables but it doesn't have any markings like that, is that a sticker? I love the idea of having it go all the way down. Currently I use a Quilting foot but I still wouldn't like to see that longer seam mark. I hope I am making sense.
That is diagonal seam tape! It is amazing!! You can get some here in my shop www.journeybackquiltsshop.com/product/DiagonalSeamTape/152?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=false&category_id=3
@@JourneyBackQuilts thank you! I really love your videos. I am participating in a pizza box swap and I have to do 22 different blocks so I look forward to following your tutorials.

That first I was not sure about doing but that the end it looked good

@@JourneyBackQuilts thanks I will check it out.
What is the finished size of this block based on these sizes? Am I missing it?
This block finishes at 12 1/2” 😊
