Do actually like how Seymour loses his shit, like years of being pushed around and treated like dirt, but now he finally has a say. And boy does he use it.

Belushi was brought in because Martin's original actor from the workprint and later Director's Cut Paul Dooley was unavailable for the reshoots.

I used to hate this scene because it is the worst of all-time because Patrick Martin (Jim Belushi) was being rude when they were singing, "Suddenly Seymour". Why could've they just say, "Could you please go away? We are having our moment here." For a few minutes or so, Patrick Martin says, "No. I'm not going away. I'm serious. I do not want to hear the song anymore." Then we have a shocking part where Seymour (Rick Moranis) gets angry as he refused to sign a brand-new contract. We heard Patrick Martin say, "Look, I'll come back when you're in a better mood." But Seymour refuses to be in a better mood because he was sick and tired by signing contracts. All he wants to do is to kill the plant once and for all.

Whereas in the Director's Cut, Martin only cares about talking business and being a Capitalist bozo, although TBF he was unaware Seymour had just lost Audrey and fed her to the plant.
