I've had this unit for nearly 20 years. It works so well that you can totally eliminate mosquitoes, flying gnats, yellow flies ! It is a 5 star product. Over the years, all my relatives have purchased their own unit. I enjoy using it so much, I have sprayed my neighbors and relatives yards because I knew they would appreciate not having mosquitoes to deal with. I live in the country and this is another "most have tool" !
i just bought the cutter fogger (it was the only option in home depot store) after i watched your video.. these foggers are yard savers. very efficient.. if you want to enjoy your yard, just fog it later afternoon, close to dusk. i pair this with few tiki torches using bite fighter oil.. amazing result.
You can actually use a mason jar for a smaller portion of use, and simply save the reminder for your next fogging. The mason jar threads fit the main housing of this unit.
Read you can use a small mouth pint canning jar for the reservoir. The threads screw right on and you just unscrew and put on the jar cover. No pouring out to empty the plastic container.
I got my black flag at my local fleet farm for $10. My Burgess fogger is from the farm where I grew up over 40 years ago. Still looks the same, but mine is not yellow, but green. I just found it today on a shelf in the garage (after looking for three days through a hoarded mess 😂)
Thanks a lot for your kind reply :) You are very right my friend! About the diet: I stopped eating animal products about 4 months ago and I have lost 23 KG during this period of time! I don't remember when did I feel this good before. Now I weight 77 KG and I hit the gym 3 times a week. I eat lots of fruits, vegetables and even more potatoes :) after seeing the changes, 7 of my friends are following the same diet and they are also loving it :)
Some states prohibit the sale of fogging insecticides, so save some time and order online. I was lucky as the first store I tried (Northern Tool) informed me.
Mine just doesn't work I have tried every combination of insecticide it produce a very fine thin stream occasionally but I never get fog it's so frustrating!!!!
if the black flag does not work for you ie: not effective, you could hit up a do it yourself pest control website or store if there is one in your area...you can buy the same fogger chemicals the PC companies use..
Haven't used mine in a couple years when I first used it it sprayed way out then all it would do is barley come so I put new black flag and still won't work !!
I tried this fogger last year and like the fogger itself but the Black Flag insecticide is not very effective. I am going to try a combination of permethrin and pyrethrin with kerosene instead of paying $10 for Black Flag that does not appear to work.
I'm wondering what would happen if you ran tiki torch citronella fuel through it. Would it repel any bugs? You can run diesel, kerosene, baby oil / mineral oil through them, but you want some kind of repellent mixed with it... unless u just want to make fog for a visual effect.
My father got stung by tens of hornets when he was mowing the yard the other day and ran over an underground hornet nest. I was wondering if this would help me remove the nest so I can get his riding lawnmower out from where he jumped off of it. Do you know?
It's useless to use this in the wind as there is nothing in the solution to make it stick to what you're fogging. This fog has to hover in order to work.
Actually there is petro oil that helps it stick and it will settle. The label and company website recommends spraying in bushes, shrubs woods, etc before dusk and before they come out to feed. This is another chemical highly toxic to pollinators, pets, to your lungs, and to men’s testosterone levels. - has a testosterone blocker effect.
My main use for this would be to fog up my bushes outside my house to get some yellow jackets and hornets that might have nested in there along with other flying stuff ... you think this would work ???
BLACK FLAG FOGGING INSECTICIDE FORMULA 2 SUMITHRIN® (d-Phenothrin) Piperonyl Butoxide (PBO) Petroleum distillates, hydrotreated light 9099% White mineral oil, petroleum
anyone have some advice one whether i can use this while camping with surrounding forests?? i dont want to start a huge forest fire..and also consider that i might have to prepare a campfire right after..so c02 ignition might be a concern from the flames..any inputs??
Great video. Very informative. But next time, don't film in Blur-o-vision. I know it's considered "artsy" and "avant garde", but personally it gives me a headache trying to focus.
Hi, I am a veterinarian. Have you asked yourself why that stuff is so hard to find? And also man do you realize the consequences of spraying that around your house and kids. Have you read all articles on cancer being caused by pesticides and insecticides as well as Parkinson and Alzheimer disease? I do even use bug spray since we have kids at home. Give it a thought you may be killing more than bugs!

If you add a mixture of Hemp oil and Mineral Oil 3:1 It will calm routy neighbors and turn the bees and wasps into friendly pets.

you have a huge back yard i'm glad this fogger is very effective thanks for the vid.

Thank you. The video was very helpful in setting up my sprayer.
I like it too and it works pretty good with exception if you squeeze the trigger to often it turns into a flamethrower

Beekeepers use the fogger to manage mites. they put mineral oil in it.
Interesting

15 seconds of fog and 3:46 of looking at what may as well have been a still photo.
I have this model fogger from a garage sale. It does not produce that much fog when in use. Suggestions?
Fluid can you use instead of using regular phone fluid fluid in the fogger

I would like to use one of these for oxalic acid to treat my bees. Have you heard of this?
No I have not
I'm concerned if it'd harm the bees.
I do not think so, but read the *fine print*......it is a legitimate concern.
it will kill bees
It will kill bees within 24hrs

please tell me, did your homemade solution work?
@@aquapower6388probably not or he’d be back
Has any one used this device with a natural pesticide instead of chemicals?
I wonder if you could use Diesel instead of Black Flag insecticide?

@@phiksit no, you’d probably just blow your house up

Walmart sell the fogged and insecticide

Will it keep the flies away?
I will find out in a couple of days
Have you ever had any issues with using the larger propane tank instead of the suggested 14.1?
We've only used the smaller one....it is plenty big enough and we have a sizable backyard.
My main use for this would be to fog up my bushes outside my house to get some yellow jackets and hornets that might have nested in there along with other flying stuff ... you think this would work ???
Should
Respirator mask should be recommended.
Pvssy
I don't think thats safe to breath!
what is in the insecticide? :)
BLACK FLAG FOGGING INSECTICIDE FORMULA 2
SUMITHRIN® (d-Phenothrin)
Piperonyl Butoxide (PBO)
Petroleum distillates, hydrotreated light 9099%
White mineral oil, petroleum
Is this safe for kids??
can i use bed bug liquid to fog inside my house with this unit?
It is not to be used indoors
Will the fogger emit at full capacity continuously, or are intermittent blasts required?
Yes.
Just substitute a standard I pint mason jar and you won't need as much pesticide.
Gordon McElvany going to try that
He told me they were yellow jackets. I don't know, it turns out they are wasps.
use a large masson jar instead of res provided.
+native ojibwa Great idea!
Price❓
Not too high

Lmao a 25 cent hose extends the pickup so you can get almost everything out... someone need to sharpen the tools

dude, this video is 6 years old.... camera technology has come a long way in those 6 years

Whaaaaaa
No, it’s just so exterminators can monopolize the bug killing industry
