    this is pretty much amazing. I played literally hours this two chord vamp from Dmaj9(5) - because I have big hands and my thumb easy reaches around the neck - to Bmin7 grabbed some min7 arpeggios out of the G-shape in the base to end with some E-shape arppegios from Dmaj7 .... thanks for the video. Sounding great as always.!

    Add9s are pretty sweet! Often we create the Maj9 sound by leaving out something OTHER THAN the M7. Either the 3rd or 5th. In the context of a band you don't lose much

    The Maj 9 has a more enveloping sound which I love.

    does add9 make it a mu chord?

    • @AntoineMichaudGuitarLooping
      @AntoineMichaudGuitarLooping  3 года назад +1

      Yes, at the condition that the added 9th is in the same octave than the 3rd of your chord (to get the friction between those notes). That friction is the essence of the "mu" chord sound.

    There's one thing you didn't mention. M9, m9 and add9 chords have different "qualities". I think add9's have more feelings.

      minor9 is the same as Major9, just applied on a minor chord. Didn't think about mentionning it!
