Thank you for your video. Enjoyed seeing progress on your WIPS, but OMG your finishes. That chair, and the roll pincushion, and acorn. Fabulous! And Deb, I knew that plate would look great, but it is truly gorgeous. I love how the tapestry looks, and the choice on the frame is beautiful. I will be interested to see where you hang it. So much fun Ladies! Take care and happy stitching!
Liz, your Santa chair turned out BEAUTIFUL!!! And I love Deb's plate finish. Ever since you showed the plate many videos ago, I look at plates differently now when I go to thrift shops for finishing ideas. I've used beads for embellishing projects, but have not done an ornament or even cross stitched on perforated paper (I actually have some perforated paper in my craft room!). The Mill Hill stash would be a great way to experiment.
Wow I love the chair finish it’s fabulous I’d like to try mill hill I love beading I’m just going to watch video 51 now I love your scissor fobs I’m making Christmas ornaments at the moment xand deb the tapestry is glorious well done for saving it I wish more people would see that stitching needs saving xxx
Hi Deb and Liz. Andrea here from South Yorkshire, England. I have recently discovered cross stitch and even more excitingly you two here on RUclips doing your floss tube channel! I am addicted already 💕🧵I got very excited seeing your mill hill selection! How amazing to have so many projects to start and learn and new techniques to discover 🙂 oh how I would to live where you are and have access to so many amazing projects and products. Thank you so much for sharing your passion for cross stitch- it’s infectious and you both are so lovely to watch. I’ve set my RUclips bell to let me know when your next video goes live xx
Well at long last I’m uptodate, I’ve come back to x stitch from way back when. Sadly lost my brother to this awful COVID in April 2020 and come the following Autumn was desperate to find something that would take me to another place. Thankyou for the things I’ve learnt and the enjoyment you give, you don’t know how much you have helped. Deb please can you add a stink bug to your wreath, ,that really made me laugh. We may be thousands of miles apart, I’m in Norfolk, England but watching the last 144 videos has made the distance shrink, just wish we had your needle work shops.Thankyou.
I first did cross stitching when I was in my 20’s but then life happened, and I had put up it away for 40 some years. I picked it back recently, after I retired and my husband passed away. Now my time is my own, which I share with the dog. Soooo much fun learning it all over again. There is so much more available today then what was popular back in the “ old days”.Have never tried the Mill Hill kits before, they look fun. I am so enjoying stitching with you ladies and listening to all your funny stories. Thank you for being here for all us lonely people durning this trying time.I smile everyday now.
Liz and Deb love the progress on your cross stitching. Liz you not going to believe this but on the Haunted Halloween book 389 I did the Candy Corn Wishes and the Ghostly Welcome to my framers (Sept 8) this week and I am getting them framed. I will be stitching the Pumpkin Patch in October it is adorable. How coincidental that you showed the Stoney Creek book 389. I also sent along with my two Halloween cross stitch a Joan Elliott design called "Birdhouse Welcome" and a Christmas design by Stoney Creek. I picked out the frames and they will be ready by Sept 22 and I am really excited to see them when they are framed. I am still working on "Still Life"s by Jeanette Crews and doing the sunflower pattern and I am about 3/4 done on the 1st page (their are 4 pages}. I think I may have this done before Christmas or sooner. I love the colors. I am going to start on my Christmas ornaments sometime this week (a little behind) but I am in no rush. I love the jewelry you both got they are beautiful. Always enjoy watching you video's they are so much fun to watch and LOL because you two are funny. I loved the lick the needle episode you had me in stitches. Question: When you use the medical tape on you material do you remove it when you finish your project or do you keep it on? Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless Pat
Liz, I finally remembered the nurse from Shriners name was Debbie. Maybe she watches your channel too and heard 😊 Thanks for mentioning it. Deb we spoke at the retreat about Sarah from your sampler. Sadly, it doesn't seem I am related BUT it got me on a journey learning more about my family tree- so it's been fun! I thought Sarah may be where my love of stitching comes from since no one in my family stitches-as Liz mentioned a nurse taught me.The Mill Hill kits are sooo cute! Liz the chair is AMAZING! So many techniques, LOVE IT!!! The acorn is just lovely. This video is chock full of info and gorgeous stitching! I am grinning watching this video. Thanks for a lovely time Ladies
Your finishes are absolutely gorgeous, ladies. The little chair and Christmas role are just so precious and the hand painted plate finish is so beautiful. It was so fun visiting with you two and I didn’t want your video to end. Thank you for another wonderful update and good stitchy talk.
Deb, I have been anxiously awaiting your finished plate. It is absolutely beautiful!! Thank you both for another enjoyable video with great information and ideas!
I was actually stitching the MY BIG TOE DESIGNS tag while watching your video. I feel very validated that I was stitching something that the Country Stitchers talked about. Love your videos. Michelle
I have never won anything but will throw my hat in the ring and give this one a try. I would love to try Mill Hill kits. I watch your channel and am in awe of both of your talents. Not only in your stitching but in your sense of color in your homes. You are lovely ladies and how you both share your knowledge of stitching. Thank you
Your thimbles reminded me of my thimble collection of places I’ve traveled to around the world. Mainly cCanada, Northern Europe and where ever our 5wheel take us. I just love them. They are displayed in a thimble box
Would love the Mill Hill patterns! I so enjoy these videos. I found your channel last month and have been binge watching them! Beautiful Stitching. You two are so talented and inspiring!

1:02:45 silk gauze, I need to learn how to stitch on. Whirlwind quilt is lovely! I have the last 2 FQS quarterly kits. Good to know about stitching the bag! Mill Hill
Liz and Deb, the video was just so full of amazing things. Liz, your chair is fabulous and the acorn, wow! So many beautiful things that you have completed. Deb, the piece in the thrifted bowl is just over the top. It looks like was originally intended to hold stitching. You have such a great eye for decorating. I love the tapestry. It is an awesome piece of history, too bad it couldn't talk. I'm a big fan of the Mill Hill kits. Remember back in the 90's when the shows would come to the Lancaster and Hershey convention center. Silver Needle was my favorite shop and I would always buy the "specials " 4 kits for a reduced price. Hopefully some day those shows will return.
I love to see the Mill Hill kits , Christmas is my favourite time of the year so I really like the kits you show to try for the first time a Mill Hill kit ❤️🎄 Thank you so much Liz and Deb for your lovely floss tube, I learned every time something new 🪡💖💖
I’m so glad to see that finished Santa chair. It is so cute and I love the base it’s in. I learned so many new things today. Such a great video. I’m always so happy to see you both. You always make my day. Thanks.
Thank you for another great video. I stitched two leaves on my stitch quarterly while watching. Your finishes are great. Thanks for sharing. I so enjoy ya'll. Have a wonderful day.
Hi Deb and Liz, I’ve been cross stitching since 1976. When my oldest son was in 3 rd grade there used to be a small beginner kit with an owl. I had a friend that owned a wonderful cross stitch store in Rapid City called Avantique . She provided the kits (thank you Nancy) and I taught all the children in his class how to stitch. So much fun. A fun fact , the boys on a whole, did a better job than the girls. I’ve taught many to stitch over the years, but the kids were the best. Xoxo
Hi, ladies! Your videos are so informative and fun to watch! Mill hill projects are so pretty. Liz, your craft room is beautiful! The pin cushion chair is lovely! Deb, you did a beautiful job with the plate! Oh, my goodness! That tapestry!!! Beautiful! I'm so glad you rescued it! Just the fact that it is almost 200 years old is awesome! Take care!
Hello ladies thank you for another fun filled Floss Tube! I just received my new Yoctosun rechargeable magnifying glasses wow they have way more magnification than my reading glasses! I thought I’d need the 4.5x but I only needed the 2.5x. I haven’t stitched with them yet I’m just taking time to learn about them. I’ve always wanted to try my hand with a Mill Hill kit with beads! I have a two cross stitch patterns (Indian Maiden and a Warrior set) that uses beads and I’ve never used beads before. Thank you for all your tips on needles and finishes etc.
Hi Deb & Liz! What a wonderful video today. So many things to admire and want to stitch. Liz , I love the beautiful pin cushion chair. It’s so pretty that I’d never put pins in it. Deb, the finish for your plate is gorgeous. I remember the first time you showed the plate in a video. I hope you both have a great weekend! 🥰
Stunning WIPs and finishes. Liz, you should be so proud of your Santa's chair. It is absolutely beautiful and so unique. It will be a wonderful family heirloom.
Hello Country Stitchers Deb and Liz! I am from Scotland UK and an avid viewer! As I was watching your video just now I heard you mention about learning to cross stitch which led me to think of my super duper dad who is a crocheter (not quite cross stitch but it involves loosely things like that ha ha) Anyway, he used to work in a job where it involved nights work, and one night he had read the newspaper from cover to cover done all the necessary jobs for a while and was proper cheesed off (fed up) so as he was thinking what to do, a colleague came in and randomly gave him a Learn to crochet book a thin small book with a hook and wool and said "Get on with it then" and he said "but I don't know anything about this" as she walked away, so he thought well why not so he started with small granny squares and over 40 years later he has made me school cardigans babies hats and doilies etc! Thank you for taking the time to read my essay! LOL! P.S If you would like to see pictures of some if his makes I can get them for you! :)
Thank you Liz for mentioning the Mill Hill Beaded Cross Stitch patterns. I didn't know that these patterns existed. I love to combine different forms of art and I am looking forward to cross stitching my first beaded cross stitch design.
