I love the banter between these two. It is like the way it used to be in the early days. Don't get mr wrong I love the show now but GGMore is really entertaining to see them just talking.
I'm not going to go back and watch Forrest Gump just for this, but I think maybe when present Forrest says it at the bus stop it's "Life WAS", but when Mamma says it in the past it is probably "Life IS". If you think about it, when Forrest says it he is speaking in past tense..."My mamma always said life was like a box of chocolates...", but she speaks in present tense "Life is like a box of chocolates Forrest, you never know what you're gonna get."
The only explanation needed here is just that, he is speaking in past tense. "People used to think Earth was flat" makes more sense than "People used to think Earth is flat" for some reason but if you talk about yourself thinking so right now, then you need to use "is", "I think Earth is flat".
At 3:32...he uses "was" b/c he was quoting his mother. it works.... "my momma always said that 'life *was* like a box of chocolates, you never know whatchu gonna get"
Here's one that broke my brain this past summer: A friend of mine bought a bag of sour gummy worms by the brand Trolli. "Oh, yeah, Sour Brain Crawlers, I remember those, there was that commercial with the boys grossing out the adults on the elevator!" I could _clearly_ hear the voiceover from that commercial in my mind, with "brain" specifically being a part of the "gross-out" appeal. Imagine my surprise when I realized the bag said "Sour *_Brite_* Crawlers," and that despite the internet's obsession with nostalgia, there was absolutely _zero_ record of the product ever having been called anything else. Considering how often I heard that commercial as a kid, it completely baffles me how I could have been so wrong.
The "Mandela Effect" is originally the Mandala Effect due to several patterns within an interlinked system but throughout time, people changed it. Ironically.
+Kevin Menke if he swore that badly, knowing the consistency of clean content, I'm positive they would have bleeped it. They keep it clean for kids. Sure, there's been more double entendres but those are going to fly right over kid's heads. And no one in the crew or Link reacted like they would have. There's no way he said it
The host of the Twilight Zone is Rod Serling. I'm guessing the Mandela answer is Rod "Sterling"? Come on, Link, you don't know Twilight Zone? It's on Netflix; you and your family would love it. (It's probably too spooky for little Lando. A few of the episodes gave me nightmares as a child.)
I actually really like "the wife" It's kind of cute. A guy at my work always says that when referring to his lady. I've always thought it was sweet, I would love it if my husband said that.
I believe the Mandella effect is basically like a game of telephone. where one person misheard or made mistake of something and that basically spread to others, like how the telephone game works.
Being from Canada, and being a child of the 80's, I recall that peanut butter very well. I have three older siblings and we'd all fight over who got the peanut until my mom finally stopped buying that brand so we'd shut up about it.
I left a copy of the movie in the park, its in a hole next to the oak tree with an old tire swing on it. .... Just reach inside and try feeling around for it.
Amazing to see that "Interview with the vampire" is actually "entretien avec un vampire" in french, which translate to "interview with a vampire". Mind blown
The only line I remember in Forest Gump was "Run Forest Run", after that I stopped watching the movie and started playing my Pokemon Stadium with the N64.
A KINDRED SPIRIT!!! I know it's a corny movie, but I was so fascinated by the premise. The whole "Mad Max but on water" thing was so cool to me, and the idea that a segment of humanity was evolving to live in water... I thought it was neat.
Im glad that Im not the only one. :) and a "Mad Max but on water" is the perfect description of Water World. Also, Kevin Costner in "The Postman" is another great dystopian movie.
I feel like it's becoming more obvious that the crew does the writing. I know that's how it's been for a long time, but now it seems like R&L don't really know anything about what they're reading.
When they are putting out 2+ shows a day, plus behind the scenes content, plus a podcast, plus running socials, plus family lives...... I imagine they have a full staff to keep the show together, including writers.
Forrest Gump. Every time I think about that movie I do not think about the chocolate line, I think Run, Forrest, Run and I am pretty sure most people do too.
str8todamoney That's a form of humor called deadpan. There are a lot of people who don't like deadpan humor, which I completely understand since it sometimes makes it harder to detect the actual joke, but their expressions of boredom are part of the joke.
Forrest Gump is my favorite movie. The reason say life is like because it holds context to current life and not the movie but Forrest is saying his mother was summarizing her what mother's life up until that moment she told her that. The movie is deep in so many ways that aren't instinctively apparent.
As for the drummer one, People often mispronounce the name of the drummer for the Canadian band, Rush. His name is Neil Peart. Most people pronounce it "pert", but it is really "peert". I've even heard Peart (pronouncing "pear" like the fruit).
1:09 The various laughs of the crew have come together to create their ultimate form: a perfect turkey impression!
I can confirm! There was a lovely tester peanut on top that caused horrible fights between siblings....
Lucky!
Nice name
+Dustin Penner SKIPPY!
although they were once called JIFFY at one time
My mom made us take turns who got the peanut.
Life is like a box of Legos, make whatever you want out of it.
Isn't the most famous line, " RIN FOREST, RUN!"
I actually meant, "run forest! Run!" Not "RIN forest run," or "fin forest fun"
*Run forest Run!
AND YEAH IKR
I think they meant a literal quote, and not just a simple line. in any case, I think both are the most memorable "lines" from the movie.
+Maia Adolphs I thought it was "AND I WAS RUNNIN"
RUN FOREST, RUN.
"Jeremy...is....fascist...." -Link Neal, 2016
In twenty years, people will look back on this comment as a ahead it's time, outlandish and crazy, but you know the truth.
LEL
Links name is Charles.
+Golden Haddix its Charles Lincoln Neal he prefers his middle name and prefers link over lincoln
+Abdullaziz Al Salem no way seriously?
I love the banter between these two. It is like the way it used to be in the early days. Don't get mr wrong I love the show now but GGMore is really entertaining to see them just talking.
I'm not going to go back and watch Forrest Gump just for this, but I think maybe when present Forrest says it at the bus stop it's "Life WAS", but when Mamma says it in the past it is probably "Life IS". *mindexplodes*
+Sophie Terrell why? that's what link said..
+Heather W but if he was quoting his mom then wouldn't he have said is because its what she always said?
+Little Firefly Not necessarily. But I did go back and look and she does say "is" and he says "was" so every one is right.
The only explanation needed here is just that, he is speaking in past tense. "People used to think Earth was flat" makes more sense than "People used to think Earth is flat" for some reason but if you talk about yourself thinking so right now, then you need to use "is", "I think Earth is flat".
Rhett's dancing is absolutely phenomenal :D
yes! great way to start the day!
And then they did not have camera. This was so interesting. I never thought about all of that. Please do more videos or a part two of this
WELCOME TO THE AFTER PARTY!
after the after party's the hotel lobby.
AFTER AFTER PARTY!
Party party party in the elevator. We're having a party
I always watch GMMore
yayayayayayyayayay paaaaaartaaaaaaaay!!
what?! Interview with the vampire is BRILLIANT!
Love you guys
i really want to hear the story about how Link got three flat tires on the way to see Interview with the Vampire and on the way back.
At 3:32...he uses "was" b/c he was quoting his mother. it works....
"my momma always said that 'life *was* like a box of chocolates, you never know whatchu gonna get"
Clogging is the best! I love it!
I'm guessing the reason people say jiffy instead if jif is because they get it mixed up with Skippy.
No, I think there used to be a penutbutter called Jiffy
I'm wondering how people get that one mixed up. The jingle was always "Moms like you choose Jif."
I think they get it mixed up because of jiffy muffin and cornbread mix.
+Izzy Rayner I thought it was choosy moms choose jif... I think it is
+Warrior Son like (Jee-eye-eff) or (gu-iy-ff)?
Lets bring back "the wife"!!! Love it!
"Beam me up, Scotty" was never said in any of the original Star Trek shows or movies. What was said in The Voyage Home, was "Scotty, Beam us up"
This was such a chilled GMMore
when the crew laughs off screen it sounds like turkeys gobbling.
Can we just talk about how much Link's face filled with love when he talked about his wife?? Too cute!!
as far as i know Keith moon was the drummer of The Who
yeaaah, you're right
+Sam Lotfi or is it Keith Mhoon?
+JasperVlogs of course!
+MegaBitHead I laughed harder at that than I probably should have
thank you. I was about to make this comment.
Here's one that broke my brain this past summer:

Considering how often I heard that commercial as a kid, it completely baffles me how I could have been so wrong.
Or is it THIS wife?
STAWP XD
+Alison Mirani That was absolutely genious
*The plot thickens*!
yess haha
NO, LEAVE
The beginning what HILARIOUS!!!!!
Thank you for dashie JIF!!!!!
👍🏻
JIF!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep I was like oh I know this, Dashie taught me! lol
That's how I remembered, lol
"JIF!"
When someone mentions clogging I freak out just a little bit every time😁😂
The "Mandela Effect" is originally the Mandala Effect due to several patterns within an interlinked system but throughout time, people changed it. Ironically.
Today is pretty busy BUT I can't miss GMM ;)
sounds very much like the f word at 7:15.. "just get me some f'ing peanut butter" lol
+Kevin Menke I heard it also
I really think he said the f word lol.
No he didn't. He said "if you could find if I could just get some peanut butter" really fast so it kind sounded like it
+Bonana360 iiiiii dont think so... lol
+Kevin Menke if he swore that badly, knowing the consistency of clean content, I'm positive they would have bleeped it. They keep it clean for kids. Sure, there's been more double entendres but those are going to fly right over kid's heads. And no one in the crew or Link reacted like they would have. There's no way he said it
These were super interesting, I hope there's more of these for a sequel episode!
I feel like the most known forest gump thing is "RUN FOREST"
The host of the Twilight Zone is Rod Serling. I'm guessing the Mandela answer is Rod "Sterling"?
Come on, Link, you don't know Twilight Zone? It's on Netflix; you and your family would love it. (It's probably too spooky for little Lando. A few of the episodes gave me nightmares as a child.)
I remember that peanut. It was delightful.
...
?Swift vlogs shalabi
Yea Canada
+Daniel Gardiner hush. you're just a saw-handle. haha
I remember it too. As kids my brother and I used to fight over it.
My favorite line is, "Run, Forrest!"
I actually really like "the wife" It's kind of cute. A guy at my work always says that when referring to his lady. I've always thought it was sweet, I would love it if my husband said that.
"If you build it, they will come" Muppets from Space
His name is The Man with the Yellow Hat.
I believe the Mandella effect is basically like a game of telephone. where one person misheard or made mistake of something and that basically spread to others, like how the telephone game works.
I wish they'd just combine this with gmm and make it 14 ways
I love how link always compliment his wife
Keith Moon, was the drummer. But I'm glad you guys questioned it lol.
I really appreciate that you did this. I am really interested in the Mandela effect (not that I seriously think we came from a different universe).
Does anyone else fell like this episode ends abruptly?
*feel
Yeah
+Gamer I think Link was not his normal self. Something is different about him. Like he's not as happy, or he's well... he's just different.
+Cary Gray just the hair
+Cary Gray he's probably being calm cuz his wife is there
7:14 It sounds like "If you could f**kin' just get some peanut butter....." LOL
Dammit link, I wanted to hear the twilight zone one... It's Rod Serling, right?
Yep. That's correct. I was all about those New Year's Day Twilight Zone marathons on Syfy before we cut the cable cord.
when did they mention the twilight zone?
+aesp51 around 11:34
aesp51 I didn't know that. I will have to check it out. Thanks!
+Noah Barbosa A lot of people think it is "Sterling " but it is Serling.
"Run Forrest Run!"
I got the Looney Tunes one right, anyone else?
I did too! I used to watch them all the time! :)
I did too
I did too!
yep
i did too
"Val Kilmer was in that movie..." Link, you're hilarious!!! Thanks for that!!! LMAO!!!
April from TMNT wears a yellow trenchcoat/jacket/one piece thing. Not Carmen Sandiego.
I remember her wearing blue/green in the computer game but red on tv. idk if that's right
+Decoy April O'Niel wore a yellow body suit. Not a trench coat. If anything Jubilee from X-Men wore it.
Z0MBIEBRY36 My point is it's yellow.
love this show!
I remember Link always having his current haircut.
Being from Canada, and being a child of the 80's, I recall that peanut butter very well. I have three older siblings and we'd all fight over who got the peanut until my mom finally stopped buying that brand so we'd shut up about it.
So where do we go to see this Forest Dump movie?
Rhettflix
+Natalia Neil Rhettbox
wow ok nvm
I left a copy of the movie in the park, its in a hole next to the oak tree with an old tire swing on it. .... Just reach inside and try feeling around for it.
+Natalia Neil world star hip hop XD
Anyone else stay up till 3 in the morning watching GoodMythicalMorning? Or am I just weird and crazy and going to die of "loss of sleep"?
You should do an exotic wood smell test. It would be so awesome.
11:46 i though link was going to say
"Where in the world is Superwoman here today" 😂
Keith Moon is The Who's drummer.
Also, Twilight Zone is the best show ever, Link!
You know it!
+Herb Toker I guess I should've said "was".
+miss october Eh yeah, but I got your drift.
+miss october Hosted by Rod Serling, not Rod Sterling, as I once thought.
Yeaaaah!! When they started with Pete, I was like "but he was Keith..." XD
Interview with 'the'' vampire. My favorite movie ever.
"If you build it, they will come" - It's from Wayne's World. And yeah, it's pronounced Towns-end, the 'h' is silent.
Link, props for the Grumpy Old Men reverence
Y'all are exceptionally beautiful in this video
Amazing to see that "Interview with the vampire" is actually "entretien avec un vampire" in french, which translate to "interview with a vampire". Mind blown
Woof
Squish

+Prayuj Pillai No, it's actually a Carmen Sandiego reference...isn't that where Lily got it from?
that's actually a Carmen sandiego reference. -_- superwoman got it from the show.
+Prayuj Pillai When does superwoman say that?
Marcus Thevarajan When she's visiting a different city she starts the video with "where in the world is superwoman todaaay"
I sure do enjoy drinking coffee out of my GMM coffee cup while watching GMM .
I watched this 20 minutes after I woke up !

The only line I remember in Forest Gump was "Run Forest Run", after that I stopped watching the movie and started playing my Pokemon Stadium with the N64.
That pikachu and voltorb minigame was the best.
+Morgan Kohntopp lickitung minigame's the best, weirdo
+Ryan Diaz I remember that I would make him eat hot/gross stuff all the time just to see his reaction. :P
+Jose Flores Clearly the Magikarp mini game is the best.
HIS NAME IS FORREST!!

Another abrupt ending, WHY MORGAN ??WHYYYY!!??
The ''Tunes''/"Toones" got me haha
This is why police body cams are so important. People can't remember anything completely right.
Interview with the vampire is a great movie

I thought the forest gump thing was: RUN FOREST RUN!!!
I actually liked Water World.
and a "Mad Max but on water" is the perfect description of Water World. Also, Kevin Costner in "The Postman" is another great dystopian movie.
RUN FOREST RUN
I feel like it's becoming more obvious that the crew does the writing. I know that's how it's been for a long time, but now it seems like R&L don't really know anything about what they're reading.
Agreed. Not sure why, but it's started to really bother me lately.
When they are putting out 2+ shows a day, plus behind the scenes content, plus a podcast, plus running socials, plus family lives......
I imagine they have a full staff to keep the show together, including writers.
I frequently do clogging. That's why I have a plunger.
It's usually the husband that does the clogging...of the toilets.
Forrest Gump. Every time I think about that movie I do not think about the chocolate line, I think Run, Forrest, Run and I am pretty sure most people do too.
Can these two not stand each other or is this all just an act?
+str8todamoney
What are you talking about?
str8todamoney
That's a form of humor called deadpan. There are a lot of people who don't like deadpan humor, which I completely understand since it sometimes makes it harder to detect the actual joke, but their expressions of boredom are part of the joke.
They never actually say "you wouldn't like when I'm angry" in Hulk from 2003
what??? its three in the morning???
no it is 1pm
it's was 1pm in Bulgaria when you commented that :)
+Sannyqua :3 also in the Netherlands
That Carmen Sandiago one got me. I immediately wanted to say yellow, but thinking about it I clearly remembered her coat being red.
Link seems "off" today. You OK Link?
Forrest Gump is my favorite movie. The reason say life is like because it holds context to current life and not the movie but Forrest is saying his mother was summarizing her what mother's life up until that moment she told her that. The movie is deep in so many ways that aren't instinctively apparent.
i can't even with link today, he seems so upset.
I know he looks sad
+Miranda L. THANK YOU! I was thinking the same thing!
I agree. Hope everything is ok. He's tired or sick or sad or something.
He keeps playing with his wedding ring so I thought it had something to do with his relationship
+M&M Films ...Nah, he always does that.
Don't make Waterworld! Hahaha best thing ever.
Life is like a box of chocolates- it lasts shorter with fat people.
+Son of a Failrace Life was like a box of chocolates.
IM CRYING
+the rider because he was fat
+brxellarose I know it's sad...look at all the fat people....
+Son of a Failrace double burn?
Carmen Sandiego's red coat is iconic!
Link's hair looks great :))
I love Field of Dreams and Where in The World Is Carmen Sandeigo and I'm actually surprised I got the quote right and didn't say "they will come"
As for the drummer one,
People often mispronounce the name of the drummer for the Canadian band, Rush. His name is Neil Peart. Most people pronounce it "pert", but it is really "peert". I've even heard Peart (pronouncing "pear" like the fruit).
Now that we can see Link's eyebrows sometimes, he has so many more facial expressions! =D
