- Does your dishwasher complete the cycle but when you open the main door, you see that there is still detergent in the detergent cup? In my case, this was simply due to a dish that was positioned poorly in the machine which obstructed/blocked the detergent door from opening.

Well this is a good explaination, many people may not have thought of this. However, the top rack has a bend right where the cover opens into. The cover doesn't open all the way during the cycle, it rests on the bend in the rack, which is the reason he heard a little clip when he opened the dishwasher.

I've had similar problems with solid detergent. It became solid in the tray and all the dishes was in white spots and runs and i had no idea what was wrong. After seeing the video and some further investigation ive realized that tray door was jamming afret the release button was pushed. I disassembeled it and sure enough there was some debree in the mechanism. Cleaned it up and there it goes! Thank you very much!!

I use finish dishwasher pod which has three sections, so I fold it and place it tight inside, as soon as the door opens it pops and falls out.

It is not us being dumb. It is stupid designers who didnt provide space for soap door to open.
no your wrong lol that is the way it build , when in wash the door open to the bottom of the top rack , what you did is put the soap pack in backwards the green and blue soap in the packet gets sticky and stick the the plastic when the powder soap side doesn't try it you will see , it the way dishwashers are build
