The amount of knowledge and skill it takes to improvise chords and melodies to sync up with the emotional peaks and dips of the vocalist is nothing short of incredible. It's a shame this corner of the musical world gets so overlooked by people outside of Christianity: there's so much passion and talent behind so much of this stuff.
Agreed - and the sad thing about it too is that these musicians aren't recognized for their hard work and talent, they are recognized for their "spiritual gifts", "all glory to god"

He’s using headphones family .. we only hear the audio because it was recorded internal to a sound card .. I’m pretty sure the organ was turned down to a minimal but amped up thru the sound card
@@sertyfy Actually, I did all of this in my home studio. I recorded this into ProTools. My Leslie isn't turned down alot, it's set between 7 & 8 which is pretty normal for a Leslie cabinet to be for live and studio performances.
I was just transported back to my childhood church! Same chord progressions, same drawbar stops, same bass line chops. I think all black churches had that same vibe going on back in the 60' and 70's.

The scriptures says bless is he who reads you know the rest. Preachers are not entertainers they must proclaim the truth of God's word with conviction , zeal and passion and never compromise. Celebration is a must because we know the end of the story .
Yes. I know that a lot of preachers like this and I never play behind preachers for that reason. I hear so many people playing the organ this way and I suppose it's what that Pastor desires but I can't understand them, and I refuse to "amen" what I did not even hear. I was in a service one time and a guest preacher came with his musicians and a lot of his congregation. Everything was getting all cranked up on the organ and it was sounding like this and I could not understand anything he said but some people from that congregation that sat beside me were jumping up and down and so I asked them, "What did he say?" The woman said, "I don't know- I couldn't hear him... But THAT'S MY BISHOOOOPPP! PREACH BISHOP!" 😞
