If you choose yes instead of no, the text will make you feel guiltier every time you tried to cut her open, and the game was designed to make the player to feel relief when they see an option to stab ourself instead of Mewo. It makes the player numb to self harm, and would resort to that over harming other. Making the player thinks « Nice! And that is actually the point and it reveals a deeper truth regarding how Sunny sees himself. He truly believes himself to be a danger to anyone he cares about, and that no matter what he does, he'll only ever end up hurting them. In his mind and from the perspective of his deep self-hatred and depression, there are only two choices: 1) Kill himself and spare those he loves further pain. 2) Bring pain to those he loves in an effort to find another way, only to end up failing and killing himself in the end anyway. There is no good ending for him, no path to redemption, no way that leads to him ever standing happily alongside everyone else he loves and not bringing them pain, because he does not believe he deserves it or is even capable of it. Ever since Mari's death, he's only ever seen himself as a blight upon the happiness of his friends and family, someone they'd all be better off without in their lives. And who can blame him? He loved his sister immensely, but he killed her. Sure it was an accident, but it doesn't change what happened, all the irrepairable damage it brought for years, or the fact that it left him feeling responsible and afraid of himself and thinking his death is the only thing that could make any of it right. Afraid that he's only a negative influence on his friends and family. That he could screw up and ruin them like Mari. And his heart can't take that. He'd rather die. It's literally his deepest fear of all, which is why in that final fight when Omori shows him the corpses of his friends all hanging from nooses like Mari that he buckles and can't fight any longer. This feeling of unworthiness is a personal demon that will take much longer to overcome than a single night in a hospital, perhaps a lifetime. That Sunny committing suicide would actually devastate his friends because they DO love him and he DOES matter to them is not something he's considered, because depression never lets you consider your value in the hearts of others. It only ever lets you see the negative, the harm.
Btw in the basil fight they aren't hitting each other on purpose. They are trying to attack their somethings to protect each other but they are just in their mind thus hitting the one they are trying to protect. So basil saying "am i selfish for doing this" means that this way he's trying to make himself feel better by "doing something good for once" and "saving sunny"
that's not true, at least for sunny. if you wanted to attack basil's something, it wouldn't have said "basil" when attacking basil, it would've said "something" over his name
@@keld4144 Yeah, Basil's almost assuredly attacking Sunny's "Something" and is basically losing it at this point. Sunny meanwhile is just sorta trying to not die and defending himself. Also why all of the skills start to fail; they're great at helping Sunny protect himself from formless terrors that stalk his mind, but they don't do a whole lot in the immediate situation of "my best friend is trying to kill me."
Actually there is a good chance that Basil is intentionally attacking Sunny, too. The most obvious way to point this out is the line: "Am I selfish for doing this, SUNNY?" Just watched the VOD. Your narration, theorizing and reactions somehow made the story all the more immersive. Thank you, Ike, it was a wonderful stream. If they ever make an anime about it, they should make you their narrator 📖
I wanted to collect myself before saying this. But I really needed this stream. I never played the game myself, but when there is a game that looks interesting and I don't have the means to play it, I go ahead and look things up. Usually, this isn't a problem. Because when I play the game proper, I can still enjoy it. It was different this time though. I found clips of the major spoilers and they literally broke me. I thought I was fine, but truth is, I was depressed for hours and couldn't shake it. But this stream... It gave me closure on it. It gave me the missing context that led to this moment. I was hugging my new little teddy bear (I named it Ike if that's okay with you) and watching the streams. Holding hands with everyone. Listening to your commentary... It brought me to peace. If I can be proud of Sunny for facing the truth, I can be proud of myself... Right? Anyway, thank you, Ike. This stream means a great deal to me. I look forward to even more streams!
Start: 2:09 Game starts: 6:10 Thank you so much for the stream, Ike! I don't have much free time in the day so I didn't really watch through it all yet, but I definitely will binge-watch it later hehe. And also, omg, it's 7 hours straight! Thank you a lot Ike, you did well *pat pat* Also, get me a Hero please God 4:07:31 Strawberry cake 4:26:41 HeroMari we are welcoming a new fan today 4:37:11 "ooo it's mutual?" 6:52:56
ive rewatched these vods countless times cause i hyperfixate on games for forever but i love that ike gets so emotionally invested in games because i cry a lot too when it comes to stories like this. the game is so long and so dense with story that you get so attached to the characters so never feel ashamed for crying even if it may be more awkward on stream versus than when you may be alone 💀
i've seen so many play throughs of this game and i knew every plot twist and every scene in this game. but everytime, it still makes me cry everytime. arguably, sometimes harder, when you go through the whole story already knowing the truth. thank you ike, for this amazing playthrough that may even be one of my favourites of all now. you were a wonderful voice actor, but most of all, i loved how invested you were in the game and how you emotionally connected to it. it was a pleasure to experience this game all over again by your side 💙
I've been nostalgic for some older streams lately and came back to rewatch this series. I was reminded of how good Ike's voice acting was for this whole series. His genuine affection for the characters was so nice to see, and I got really invested in them too. Thanks for playing Omori!
ever since you deputed and said in your first stream that you like sad games I've been hoping for you to play omori... and here you are having finished it. omori will always have a place in my heard and will always make me emotional no matter how many times I get to see others play it. thank you for the stream ike, really.
when we see Mari crying after safing Sunny of drowning. and the very next moment its present Sunny and Mari is gome hits me every time. and i saw like 6-8 playthrough already
Ike, thank you for playing Omori. This game means a lot to me as well as other people, and I'm glad you enjoyed it as well. The amount of attention and effort you put into the whole playthrough just warmed my heart so much. You can just feel in this game how much love the creators gave into making it, so I really appreciate that you immersed yourself into this and that it struck a cord in you as much as it did mine. I will always carry this game in my heart, along with this amazing playthrough. Thank you for everything, Ike! You are amazing, and I'm very grateful for all your streams 💙
お疲れ様でしたThis game gives me extreme mixed feelings. I see you held back crying several times coz you’re streaming. If it helps, take your time to cry it out properly after the stream *hugs and gives pats on your back* The final fight feels too relatable but seeing that I’m not the only one going through this gives me courage to fight it back. Thank you (and Vox) for introducing this incredible game to all of us.
I was on the verge of breaking down into a dissociative anxiety attack when I saw you where still live. Watching you play the game, though it’s supposed to be a phycological horror, made me feel so much better. Thank you so much for being there when I needed something to help me calm down. 💙💙💙💙💙💙
Thank you so much for playing this game ike, its been such a long emotional ride and your VA and dialogue delivery was the one part that made it really really special and added more emotion to it. I really had sm fun throughout thank you so much, lots of love OTSU-IKEY!💙💙
thank you for playing this amazing game! seriously no matter how many times i watch playthroughs of this, i always end up crying at the end but this game is truly a masterpiece like that
You know ikey, you're really so perspective and feel everything about the scene at the moment that you cry about it. It's so precious, I love u for this. I hope u love that about yourself as well💙
i've watched so many playthrough of omori and everytime i just cry again. thanks to you ike, it felt more immersive because of ur voice acting! here's to future random omori pains 🥲🥲🥲
I will never forget this experience. Im a person is hard to have emotional and usually dont play rpg. Thanks to Ike and his voice acting, i love this game, characters, bgm everything. I have cried at the final duet and when Ike found the truth about Mari death. its very hit me

i haven't told you this because i go to sleep right after you winning. yeah, otsuikey~! thanks for playing this game yay! your voice acting is awesome. the way you read the entire text with so many emotions in it made me cry a lot and amazed at how well you did that. pat pat good job .
Woo, this has been such an emotional ride, and I'm so glad to be able to go through it all with Ike and Quilldren. Thank you for streaming and for playing Omori Ike, I really enjoyed your commentary and voice acting and your delivery of it was full of emotion, adding to the atmosphere. 💙 Take care Ikey and know that whenever that voice spouts doubt, know that we're always here for you too. ٩( *´﹀`* )۶♬*゜
BRAVO IKE!!! Bravoo!!! It so worth staying up watching you play game!! 😭😭 even now i feel a bit scared ;; it was such a good commentaries, I'm looking forward for moree
thank you ike for finishing a game that's so dear to many of us and so cherished within our hearts, the ending never ceases to make me cry from the buildup of everything to the satisfaction that at least things will get better. Your playthroughs were one of the best ones I've seen so far (maybe because we play so similarly haha) but genuinely your voice acting and care for the entire game made me even more invested. hope to hear if you play the other route/endings on your own time!
Thank you so so much for playing this game ike!! This was such an emotional ride...I didn't know anything about omori before this and you brought everything about the game to life with your amazing voice acting and commentary... I got so absorbed...Plus, your additional words in between from time to time were so comforting - thank you for this ike! I am so glad to have experienced omori for the first time with you and the quilldren >< Time to go heal from emotional damage~
I didn’t get a chance to comment this earlier because I had just finished watching after missing the stream live! I uh… also was SUUUPER ugly crying by the end of it. And after watching for like a solid hour. It’s been a while since I’ve seen the end of the game so it got me all emotional again even if I already knew what happens. Thank you Ike for playing through Omori! What a special little game this is. I’ve experienced the game through several times, once by myself and other times watching others. I was one of the people who were hoping that you’ll pick up the game and play it on stream and was so glad you finally did! I made it to the first couple, but the latter Omori streams happened too early in the morning for me, so I missed them. I’ll definitely have to keep them on in the background when doing some work now that the series is complete. Thanks for playing once again Ike and for making the game experience so much fun to enjoy watching again!
So an interesting fact the distorted back ground audio that starts playing during the fight with Omori is the argument between Sunny and Mari. The screams that you hear is the moment Sunny pushed Mari down the stairs.
Thank you so much for playing this game. It was such a wild ride, it's been a while since I've cried so hard and I might have actually needed it. I will definitely miss this series on your channel, it was such a wonderful game. Also, through this series, your VA skills improved a lot! Otsuikey!!
Crying from 8 am to 1 pm during this entire stream, but it was definitely worth the wonderful journey with everyone. I'm happy I was here with the Quilldren to experience the ride and all the emotions together 😭 Thank you so much for playing this, Ike! Omori will forever leave an impression on us all. 🤝🍓💙
Thank you fo streaming omori ike. That was a roller coaster of emotion. Your commentary and voice acting gets me immersed and it made me stay for the whole stream. Such a smart cookie. Otsuikeeey Personal Timestamps: 2:16:11 cute 7:21:57 final duet
Good lord, this was....an intense and long ride. I'm glad I finally got around to finish watching all the streams. This was a very immersive playthrough. Well done, Ike. And thank you.
Thanks for the stream, Ike! Otsu for the long, emotional, and beautiful ride~ Your voice acting made this game all the more precious and meaningful, grateful for that really. Enjoy your borg and have a good rest~
Gotta love how the chat couldn't stop yelling to water the flowers after they were 1, already dead, and 2, in a sequence where they are automatically dead whether you watered them regularly or not lol. Really fun Omori play-through though, I enjoyed it throughout despite the chat-induced frustration I'm venting.
thank you for letting us have the opportunity to join you on this journey!! i love this game so much and i hope you explore all other endings and side quests even if just in your own time. thanks again!!
Omori was such an incredible game. I'm glad I was able to experience this first hand with Ikey and the quilldren. This was really a lot to take in and will surely be on my mind the next couple of days. Thank you Ikey for playing this game. Your VA really gave this game so much life and your immersion to the game made me so invested with the story. I was so glad I pushed through the last hours. This is an unforgettable experience, thank you thank you.
I have never played this game, but I do know that it's heavy. But you with you Ike, I get to experience all the laughs, sorrow, and overall get to see this along with everyone. Hold hands and praying for Ikey (and Sunny)? Best way to ever get to experience this game headfirst. Thank you, Ike, thank you Quills, please rest, we all did so well! Thank you Omocat!
God this game is really good at being emotional because i rarely cried at video games or any fictional content really but Omori had made me bawls my eyes out. I had to rewatch Final Duet on youtube because i cried too much during the in-game cutscenes and i can barely see anything 😭
That was a rollercoaster of emotions. Are you gonna do the other endings as well? Not blemming you if you choose not to...they are pretty sad.. Anyway that was a fantastic stream and your va really brought this game to life! 💙💙
This game was so much fun and painful I love that Ike is my first Oshi and I was able to experience having fun watching games like this. The voice actings were really really good that it sends chills to my spine. In every painful scenes and dialogue that Ike acted on it was all pure . This was a really nice stream! I enjoy the game so much I am hoping for more angsty games to come
aaaand what an emotional rollercoaster that was !!! thank you as always for the wonderful experience; i didn't get to catch everything live so i'll be hopping between VODs to cope take care & rest well, ike!! until the next stream ,,
Thank you for the stream ike💙💙💙 I don't normally watch streams this long but you made it so entertaining and emotional Im not the type of guy to cry at these type if games but your voice acting and your cries made my tears run, this game is so depressing and the storyline is beautiful, 7 hours of stream and it was so worth it to watch, there was some points i wanted to click off cause it was to disturbing but i decided to stay and im glad i did I absolutely love this stream and gameplay 💙💙💙
While I have played the game before, and I had to poof from the middle of the live due to needing sleep and catch up to VOD, congratulations for clearing Ike! You were so incredibly smart throughout the gameplay and your voice acting and honest emotions made this game more immersive than when I played alone. May your days continue to be happy!

just finished binge watching Ike's playthrough of this and wow Ike you did amazing in finishing this game! i don't think i can if i were to play it. this game is such an emotional trainwreck omg but it's also such a beautiful game. i was expecting that the truth will be heavy but not to that extent orz there's so much emotions to it and the fact that Ike did an amazing job voice acting added more to it. thank you Ike 💙

Start: 2:09

Thank you so much for the stream, Ike! I don't have much free time in the day so I didn't really watch through it all yet, but I definitely will binge-watch it later hehe. And also, omg, it's 7 hours straight! Thank you a lot Ike, you did well *pat pat*
Also, get me a Hero please God 4:07:31

HeroMari we are welcoming a new fan today 4:37:11
"ooo it's mutual?" 6:52:56
ive rewatched these vods countless times cause i hyperfixate on games for forever but i love that ike gets so emotionally invested in games because i cry a lot too when it comes to stories like this. the game is so long and so dense with story that you get so attached to the characters so never feel ashamed for crying even if it may be more awkward on stream versus than when you may be alone 💀
You’d think that forgiving others would be really hard, but forgiving yourself is much harder.
i've seen so many play throughs of this game and i knew every plot twist and every scene in this game. but everytime, it still makes me cry everytime. arguably, sometimes harder, when you go through the whole story already knowing the truth. thank you ike, for this amazing playthrough that may even be one of my favourites of all now. you were a wonderful voice actor, but most of all, i loved how invested you were in the game and how you emotionally connected to it. it was a pleasure to experience this game all over again by your side 💙
I've been nostalgic for some older streams lately and came back to rewatch this series. I was reminded of how good Ike's voice acting was for this whole series. His genuine affection for the characters was so nice to see, and I got really invested in them too. Thanks for playing Omori!
5:53:20 finding out the truth😭
ever since you deputed and said in your first stream that you like sad games I've been hoping for you to play omori... and here you are having finished it. omori will always have a place in my heard and will always make me emotional no matter how many times I get to see others play it. thank you for the stream ike, really.
[EDIT: Stream start 2:12~.]
/grossly sobbing
Thank you for your voice-acting and your thoughts/feelings on OMORI...thank you.
when we see Mari crying after safing Sunny of drowning. and the very next moment its present Sunny and Mari is gome
hits me every time. and i saw like 6-8 playthrough already
It was a good game I cried a lot. Thanks for playing Omori Ikey!
I will never forget this experience. Im a person is hard to have emotional and usually dont play rpg. Thanks to Ike and his voice acting, i love this game, characters, bgm everything. I have cried at the final duet and when Ike found the truth about Mari death. its very hit me
This game is underatted😭, I’m happy too see more ppl playing it :)

The first overslept stream (just joking)
We finally finished the travel of Omori!!!! The game is soooo long but I think it's worthy I hope you have enjoyed this game too! Thank you for playing and hope you rest your voice after the stream

i haven't told you this because i go to sleep right after you winning. yeah, otsuikey~! thanks for playing this game yay! your voice acting is awesome. the way you read the entire text with so many emotions in it made me cry a lot and amazed at how well you did that. pat pat good job .
Hero and Mari are such patient people, despite beinh in highschool they managed to hang out with the kids.
I am so glad to have experienced omori for the first time with you and the quilldren >< Time to go heal from emotional damage~
i never cried so much in 1 day wtf
i'm late but... thank you for the gameplay. i am feeling so emotional rn haha
Thank you for playing OMIORI Ike💙💙💙
Thank you so much for playing this game. It was such a wild ride, it's been a while since I've cried so hard and I might have actually needed it. I will definitely miss this series on your channel, it was such a wonderful game. Also, through this series, your VA skills improved a lot! Otsuikey!!
omori ending always gets me to tear up 😭😭Thank you for the ride again ike
Crying from 8 am to 1 pm during this entire stream, but it was definitely worth the wonderful journey with everyone. I'm happy I was here with the Quilldren to experience the ride and all the emotions together 😭 Thank you so much for playing this, Ike! Omori will forever leave an impression on us all. 🤝🍓💙

Thank you for the stream. This game is really such an emotional damage----
God this game is really good at being emotional because i rarely cried at video games or any fictional content really but Omori had made me bawls my eyes out.
12 hours... I wasn't expecting Ike to finish Omori today, this was such a ride. Thank you very much for playing Omori 💙🤍

Thank you for the stream ike💙💙💙
I don't normally watch streams this long but you made it so entertaining and emotional
Im not the type of guy to cry at these type if games but your voice acting and your cries made my tears run, this game is so depressing and the storyline is beautiful, 7 hours of stream and it was so worth it to watch, there was some points i wanted to click off cause it was to disturbing but i decided to stay and im glad i did
I absolutely love this stream and gameplay 💙💙💙
While I have played the game before, and I had to poof from the middle of the live due to needing sleep and catch up to VOD, congratulations for clearing Ike! You were so incredibly smart throughout the gameplay and your voice acting and honest emotions made this game more immersive than when I played alone. May your days continue to be happy!
shoutout to twitch chat at 3:38:50, “Mari vibin” in the fishbowl area made me laugh pretty hard despite the utter despair of blackspace
i said a long time ago that i really wanted to see ike play this game, and my wish came true! this was such a fun ride and i loved every second of it. i hope everyone's feelings arent too hurt :) thank you for playing such an amazing game ike
Thank you for the stream
todays stream seriously made me cry, regardless of the fact that i've finished playing omori once, and playing through it again currently, and have watched countless gameplays on it (yes.. its a hyperfixation hehe). i loved every moment of it, and the same applies for the rest of the omori streams. so thank you so much for streaming~ i truly had an amazing time today with you and chat!! it was fun how we were all there for eachother and holding hands and such hehe~ do get the rest you deserve after that nearly 8 hour stream, sending hugs to you and all quildrens too :D

Also congrats you got the secret ending! This has been really fun and I'm happy you think so too anyways see you on the hollow knight stream ike!
