Thank you for the awesome video! Yes, you can steam about anything that you can bale. When we were farming, we baled a ton of 3-way with the steamer. One thing that really helped us was that we would recondition the windrows with our rotary swathers before baling. So, when the 3-way was almost dry, we would run back over it with the swather with the heads facing toward the swather. It would do a great job of cutting the stalks into small pieces and it really fluffed up the windrow. It made baling so much easier and with the added steam, we had amazing baler conformity and weights!

Thanks for the interesting video. I am not going to repeat what this was all about-Tricate-close enough. This process of baling with the Tricate is super interesting. If I understand correctly it helps preserve this type hay to allow you to store it longer before You sell it. Makes the hay type better for whoever uses this kind. Think I have it right?? From the tractor to the end trailer you have quite the length in equipment. Am sure the cost of this equipment is not cheap. Thanks for your time to video this process. You all take care and be safe. Thanks. Iowa farm boy from years ago.

I've got two of those model boys..............thankfully the wet bandits have NOT paid a visit to my house, yet. But the are the trap settin-est, gadgetizin-est little sh......farts! I don't dare teach them about shop tools or they'll have the whole damn place dismantled, oh here's a short one for you guys.............they're 10 and almost 8 now but 3 or 4 years back they were watchin grandma push mower the yard, well she finished and takes the hose and screws it to the fitting on the deck for wash out, no big deal. She comes in for a glass of water and she is visiting with my wife and says "oh, I better go fuel the mower before I put it up otherwise I'll forget....."......two boys go tearin out of the house almost instantly, I don't know about you guys but that has all sorts of red flag warnings involved at my house. So I promptly head out the other door to try and get a read on what the heck Frick and Frack have cogitated up that's so 'time sensitive' to the situation.........well they had hustled right out to do somethin nice for grandma since she had been workin so hard mowing and fuel her mower................WITH THE GARDEN HOSE!!!!! So, they had watched her in their travels around our 25 acres (which they cover in neart of 5 minutes a pass) and they noticed she took the fuel cap off and checked throughout her project to see if she'd be able to finish in one tank...........next pass they see her from a distance with the hose, then overheard her say it needed fuel sooooooo..........I gave them high fives and hugs for their kind thoughts to help grandma, then we had a little training session lol. Fast forward to now, they're building fires out behind the chicken house while hunting birds with their BB guns.............🤦‍♂️.........I said "were you guys pretending, like when we go elk huntin?" No, we got cold. But we made a circle with rocks like at elk camp, then you whistled at us to come in for dinner so we put dirt on it amd waited until it wasn't hot anymore like you amd mom showed all of us (4 kids total) to make sure a fire is dead out."
    Oh...............

@@BalesHayFarmandRanch very true. ..........bitter sweet part of the past 6 years is we bought the place with my in-laws as my father in law had a massive hemorrhage stroke 8 and years ago and he got to live with and see the kids everyday, with the stories and all until he passed 21 days ago on the 10th. My wife and I helped with his care and though the living situation was very very difficult with 8 humanoids under the same roof, I hope that it helped him last as long as he did and we couldn't have asked for or planned a better parting with him. All friends and family got to say goodbye and my mother in law was holding his hand while he passed in his sleep, what any of us could hope for when it's our time. I grew up with my grandparents close and it was important to me that my kids have that as well, under the same roof wasn't quite my thought in "close" but you've gotta play the cards dealt to you right lol? Nope, not normally anyway. If you had a big enough windrow feeding the round baler, you wouldn’t need to weave back and forth either. The big squares have a precharge chamber, which is basically a store for the hay, and every so many revolutions it trips the stuffer fingers, shooting that hay into the chamber where it’s hit by the plunger, making your flake. But together “we” it got done the right way. And as a manager, my time is more valuable making sure things get done, not doing them myself. Or, if you are referring to the big baling portion.
