Hello friends.
This video shows the experiment with adding and subtracting both positives and negatives, and make predictions about whether the total will be positive or negative.
Learning Goals
•Represent addition and subtraction of integers on a horizontal number line
•Use logical necessity to reason that addition has the opposite effect as subtraction or that adding (or subtracting) a negative integer has the opposite effect as adding (or subtracting) a positive integer.
•Show that a number and its additive inverse (opposite) have a sum of 0

I love this video! I'm starting to use Phet for homeschool online math to bring it alive for students with the simulations. My area of intrigue is the connections with math and science. Your tutorial really helped me understand how to use Phet's simulation. I wish they had videos showing teachers how to use the simulation, but, I can't find any. Your video hit the spot! Thank you!
