I hope we don't have to wait too much longer for the definative coins : well done again Christoper very interesting 🙂👍
My grandfather grew up through the early post-war years (born just a few months prior to the official ending of WWII) and agrees with you at 1:25. But then again, by this time Queen Victoria only died about 50 years prior, which in reality isn't 'ages ago' considering plenty of our coinage dates back to 1971, 50 odd years. This proves your point, Christopher, that coins survive just as long in circulation but the difference is our late Queen has spent the last 70 years on our coins, whereas between 1900-1971 we saw 5 profiles of monarchs our coinage.
Thanks for another interesting and informative video, mate.
Though not a monarchist, British coins bring us the history of Britain and so are an important part of my collection. My whole collection though is international and, excepting my 'base bullion stack', consists of mainly high-value coins and rounds at £70+ each. The Queen's Beasts series and following Tudor Beasts series with two monarchs represented makes it a truly unique series to hold in any collection.
It's all about history, culture, art, in the medium of silver and/or gold.
What a amazing video love your content
Definitely doesn’t feel like a year. Got some of the coins with King Charles III on.👌👍
We want 2023 definitives! (even NIFCs), Come on Royal Mint, what are you doing?
I’m yet to find a king CIII Coronation out in Circulation but I have a few Crowned versions in my collection (BUnc packs, carded & SYO on the day)
Great stuff Christopher & BCC 👍🏻
I can't find a King Charles in circulation either.
I regularly ask when I'm receiving change but none around near me.
@@janedaniel7288 I’m sure you’ll get one soon
you will get one soon, I assure you. I work as a cashier and seeing more and more in common change. keep your eyes out and will be a great moment when you do! @@janedaniel7288
8:52 🤣
I've just ordered a KC3 2024 5 pound coin from the RM, who knows when exactly that might be issued?
I know it's easy to be critical of the RM, but they do seem to be profit driven rather than anything else!
I really doubt that the 2021/22 QEII coins held in the RM long store will now be released, I fully expect they will be melted down rather than released
👍👍👍👍👍👌
How have it changed .there's a bloke on them now
