It’s cool to see this area from a biker’s perspective! I love hiking out there, there’s so much wonderful geology to appreciate and stunning views to take in
Just rode this today. The steep section isn't a joke lmao. One wrong move and you'll slide off the rock face. But a fantastic trail and very rideable. Love from Tucson.
Awesome! Glad you got to ride it too! Yea that steep section made me nervous. And being loose didn’t help the situation. Just gotta commit. Thanks for the comment!
Amazing video brother!! I live in Albuquerque NM and have ridden White Ridge Trail about 6 times over the last few years. Such an amazing trail. Dragons back is the best part but we do the loop down into the valley and up to the other side where the springs are and ride "good times" back. Bit of climbing to get to good times but another fun section and the scenery is so hard to beat! Don't go on a hot day. Go on a cloudy day, early, evening or when it's 75° for the high. Not much shade and bring good amount of hydration.
I wished I lived closer to ABQ. I would be out there more often just like you. I would love to enjoy the other parts especially the one you call good times. I saw there a harder trail that has some exposure and steepness. Is that dragons neck or tail? I appreciate your comment!
Thanks for this. The BLM pamphlet calls the entire Dragons Back trail black, but watching your video makes the first part seem really blue. Beautiful job on this video project.
Next time you are out this way complete the entire clockwise loop. Trailforks is a good tool to see the map of the complete loop. And for extra miles add in the center spine towards the end of the clockwise loop and come back around again.
Amazing ride! Quite rough and tricky on some areas.. but you have such great skills! The sceneries are amazing indeed.. and beautiful capture of the sunset! I heard about some beautiful hiking trails in this area too. Thanks for taking us along.
Incredibly great video Dave, it's amazing how you capture the moments of tranquillity and the grandeur of the world in your shots. A fantastic place with beautiful trails, great riding and amazing shots. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work buddy. Ride on and have a great day
Dude, this is so funny! I am gonna be doing a New Mexico road trip with my son next month and was looking for places to ride around Albuquerque. I came across Dragon's back trail and decided to look for some youtube videos. This is the first one I watched. Kept asking myself "why does this guy look and sound SO familiar". I assumed it was just because I've seen your videos before but at the very end of the video I realized who you were. You took us up to Pikes peak to ride down last summer! 🤣
@@DavePFilms yes we got to ride a day at angel fire and a day at dragons back. Both were epic. Unfortunately our trip got derailed when my camper broke down right after we pulled off the dirt road leaving from dragons back. Spent 2 days broke down in Albuquerque and then limped home after we were able to get it fixed.
That was super cool Dave !! Really enjoyed the drone footage too ! I like those wide open spaces where you can get some good down hill flow going. Still hoping to hit the trail with you sometime ! . Take Care Man. Ride Fast & Hard !
It was an epic place to ride. I agree! The open area riding are so much fun and my type of trails. It seems like they have plenty of these types of trails around this state. I need to explore more! Please let me know when you are in the area and would like to ride with ya. Good to hear from you. Thanks!
I think it is. Majority of the trail is exposed to sunlight. Not a lot of coverage. I assume if it did snow, it would melt quickly. I think it’s better to ride in the winter. It’s a lot cooler.
Really good work on this video. Being a youtuber as well, I don't think people really know how much goes into getting shots, especially drone shots. The pack you have to wear, the weight, the constant stopping, the batteries, etc, etc. Great work man. By the way, great job of riding down the steep section of dragons back. I've been there many times, it definitely gets you to think a few times before you give it a go. You live in NM?
Yea I don’t miss the snow. Surprisingly it snows here in NM. I had to move due to military obligations. I miss Colorado however I’m excited to explore this state.
Dude, you missed half the trail by not riding the other side of Dragons back, it's almost all climb but has some cool features that are not on the side you rode.
Got myself in a bit of a pickle out here a few years back. Camelback with 100 oz plus and AVOID this trail in the summer heat. Stunning landscape, you must respect.

Wildly underrated channel. You got my sub all the way from Lubbock!

Yea the section I was on was blue. I know the other side is black with a steep descent. Thank you!

Yes!!! I wanted to ride the spine but ran out of time. It’s on my bucket list. I’ll try to head up there soon!
Amazing video! It captures NM well. I still haven’t written this trail but it’s on my list.
You’ll love this trail! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Beautiful cant wait to see this in person. Thanks
More amazing in person!
@@DavePFilms Your Channel is going to do very there a lot of depth here. Keep it goingan. Great job again.👍
I rode this trail about 3 years ago. It is really fun.
Awesome! I want to head back and try out the other side. Did you get a chance to?
Nice editing and music choice. Good use of drone shots. Subscribed.
I appreciate the comment! Thanks for the sub!

I’m stoked you enjoyed it. I try my best to showcase the beauty outside the trails. Thank you!
Another awesome video in a gorgeous place! Nice riding as always! Can't wait to ride with you again.
I appreciate it brother! Same here…looking forward to our riding trips this year!
Great channel you have here Dave. Will be following you from now on. Good luck and good trails !
Thank you. I appreciate your support! 🙏
Minus the trees in Colorado but just as spectacular. Awesome drone shots!
Thank you Dad! It was a grand place to ride and explore. The drone shots help showcase that.
Another great vid on a great trail with some great riding. Way to keep it epic.
It was an epic place to ride especially for my first one. Thanks!
This is epic

Hey! Hope all is well. Good to hear from you! Did you get a chance to ride the trails in NM? I just got my son into riding and took a trip to CO.

Riding New Mexico looks fantastic! Great drone work as always and your riding is on point👌

Amazing ride with very high elevation, sending support bro
Thank you 🙏. Keep safe my friend.
Awesome ride brother. Welcome to New Mexico 👍🏽😎
I appreciate it. I loved the trail! And the dirt was great! I would do it again.
Awesome video and wow this trail looks amazing!!! Do you think its rideable in the winter right now? New to Colorado and really enjoying your videos!

I love white mesa. Great video. You should try the central spine down.
Yes!!!! It’s on my bucket list. I’m going to try soon!
That was an amazing ride 🤟

Nice aeriel shots! Heading to White Mesa next week. What kind of drone did you use for those shots?
nice video. have you done the sanjuan space jam trail?
I have not! I’ll check it out on Trailforks. I’m planning another trip down there soon. Thank you!
Looks fun! And I didn’t see any snow😂. Why the move? Work related?
Yea I don’t miss the snow. Surprisingly it snows here in NM. I had to move due to military obligations. I miss Colorado however I’m excited to explore this state.
nice...I'm looking for trails near Santa fe if you have any advice
Sorry this trail was the only one I experienced so far. More to come though! Did you check out Angel fire yet?
@@DavePFilms
We will be there in October so hopefully then.
Thoughts on taking a gravel bike along this trail?
It’s definitely possible! I can’t recall using up a lot of my suspension. You got this!
ooooohh, someone has blue tooth levers...... :)
Yessir…I treated myself to this upgrade after the move to NM.
What drone do you use?
Skydio drone. Highly recommend it!

this looks like white mesa
