Gotta admit for the price the mwac is the best deal. I own the kg right now I'm happy but man that mwac is crazy good. Tds let me borrow it. Hes lucky he got it back lol
I prefer the MWAC due to how sensitive/reactive it is. Feels more natural, it doesn’t feel like a hard gate, like a Killswitch or mute button being pushed, it doesn’t do that which is good for my style.
In my opinion, the MWAC is more sensitive to the key input (better touch response), more transparent and less signal loss. The Sun gate has an internal switch to be Range (threshold) or key in. But I always felt it would lose some top end no matter which setting I tried. Both are fantastic, but the MWAC is my preferred choice.
Thanks man, I own a TC sentry and I have been pretty satisfied with it so far but wanted to tey something newer. Would you say the MWAC can do the tight fast staccato gating? A la Messhugah for example
@@niemand5627 never tried it to be honest, for my needs I’ve never pushed the knob really past 10-o’clock. It removes the noise perfectly for my punk/alt rock riffs. That said, there isn’t a way to adjust the release/hold time. So i couldn’t tell you a definite yes or no.
That Sounds Terrible is the best channel name EVER
Haha, thanks!
Finally a good gate video

If money were no object would you prefer Guptech MWAC or The Key & Gate???

thats an interesting question, with shipping to Europe they cost the same :D
Any differences between the SUN and the MWAC you could notice?
