Just got my third SB59 and they are incredible guitars. I also have a T484 and it is an amazing semi-hollow. I still love my Gibsons, but I am definitely now an Eastman fanboy as well.
Ive had the SB56 model for a year now, in my 40 years of guitar playing I think Ive found the one single guitar that replaces all my others. The quality, playability, and tone is absolutely spot on.
Beautiful! Tried the SB59/v recently and it is next on my list for sure. Also tried the Pomona Blonde Juliet . . . just gorgeous with the Bare Knuckles. I firmly believe that some of these earlier SB59/v Eastmans will be as collectible in 30 or 40 years as my 68 LP Custom is today, or maybe a 59 Standard, even. The attention to detail and quality is top tier.
I have the SB59-GD (LH) and what a guitar. They stopped making them so that's kinda cool as well but can't recommend enough. Flawless, handmade and under 8lbs
Is this the SB59v? Looks like the vintage/varnished body, but then I thought Eastman switched to custom-wound Lollar Imperial pups for their newer SB59v guitars. I'm new to Eastman's though, so correct me if I'm wrong. Just bought a 2023 SB59v and it has the Lollar's.
Current spec for the Eastman SB59/v is a pair of Lollar Custom Aged/Wound Imperial humbuckers (these are proprietary pickups wound exclusively for Eastman).

That thing is screaming my name

I agree. The quality of woods and components, combined with quality construction, is going to make them very desirable.
i have a SB59v and my friend who has a Gibbo R9 says the Eastman is far superior, he is going to buy one himself
Full demo starts at 7:25

This is the SB59 Classic - which has the Seymour Duncan '59 pickups.
