One of the most perfect of nature's creations. Absolutely gorgeous & terrifying predator that needs our help to continue to exist. Without all species of sharks all oceans & seas would become stinking cesspools of death & disease. No longer the source of all life on our planet the oceans all life on our planet will die. The life on land depends on the good health of our oceans & seas. Without the work of our irreplaceable sharks our oceans & seas will literally die. This is an excellent documentary everyone who cares about our planet should watch. Thank you for sharing this with us.
What a great series of documentaries! Compared to the Ocean Vet series which is also interesting, yet a more dramatized approach of storytelling, these docs here are much more calmer and feel more "in depth" and upclose and personal. My wife and I really enjoyed these shark docs. Thank you for giving them a new playlist!
What courageous men, what a gift to all who get to watch from the safety of home. Thank you. Myself, I’d be frightened just being in a boat near Guadalupe.
They have a lot of guts. If you look up Ocean Ramsey she's a marine biologist that has swam with Deep Blue, a 20 foot white shark estimated to be 70 years old.
BEAUTIFUL, to learn that Great whites have blue eyes.. Which we don't see above water! Impressive Docu about this majestic, mysterious Shark I love!!!!! 💙🌊👌🦈🦈🦈❤️❤️❤️👍🏽
Please don’t ever - it kills them. So many sharks get terribly injured and even die from encounters with these cages. They get lured to the area around the cage, try to examine it and what’s in them(NOT TO EAT WHATS IN THE CAGE!) - and since they can’t reverse, some tend to get stuck in or between the bars. Probably even more dangerous to the people too than go diving with an experienced dive master and spotter
Glad there are people trying to protect that tiny sanctuary. I heard a few years ago there was a spotting of a grey whale in the Atlantic. We are on a good trend here. A few big steps and we will see this this eco system bloom.
I have the upmost respect for our beautiful majestic big sharks I have always loved great whites. I would love to swim with them they are extremely misunderstood creatures. These divers and crew are amazing
Great Whites have the Reputation', but Bull sharks do more killing of people... In Africa, the big cats have the reputation, but hippos kill more people... (Just sayin')
I think maybe it's the most encountered and stigmatized? Sperm whales only really eat stuff like squid, and orca casualties are few and far between. Make no mistake, they are both incredible predators, but the shark has the worst rep
aud loves life I think there’s a very rare species of hammer head called the great hammer head or might just be a really big hammer head there a vid it’s worth the watch
love the documentary. it allows you to get into the soul of the life of the shark in this protected part of the ocean waters. amazing people and professionals doing this for us to really understand the nature of sharks.
This documentary is so interesting that I have watched it a dozen times. As I'm fascinated by the Hawaiian islands and its culture I would like to know more about the under water world and sharks of these islands.
@@steven-qc2nt totally agree. It's expected of any mother to be frightened of a son or daughter doing something like that but the only way to true happiness is following your dreams, not let anything or anyone get in your way or make you think your dreams are impossible 💪🤘🤟
14:21 Making bubbles underwater will scare off sharks. That's all it takes. Noted. Thank you. :) For real tho, great documentary. The divers are real badasses. The longer they stayed on the boat, the more I wanted them not to dive at all. Glad everything turned out great in the end.
WoW. Those handsome free divers especially the bald one are amazing. I'm absolutely terrified of large bodies of water and even more terrified of them being infested with the world most powerful underwater apex creature. You couldn't pay me a million $$$ to do this job!!! Mad respect to the entire for this documentary. 😍😍🔥🔥🔥👌🏽👌🏽
This was a good one! A not overly dramatic narration like this is such nice change from the hysterical, fear-mongering presentation of Discovery, NatGeo (RIP) and it's ilk! I also hate their ridiculous pseudo-experiments that are clearly just for the sake of hype or to get aggressive shark footage and not for any scientific gain.
that's sad, but humans can go anywhere, sharks are limited; it's their home. With more info hopefully we can avoid fatalities; even though statistically they are extremely minimal.
Orcas are the Apex predators because nothing in the ocean eats them. They kill Great white sharks just for their liver how they talked about how big it was how useful it was to them the orcas can smell that. They have intense hearing smelling and visual. When they hunt as a pack nothing can be done to them. They are called the wolves of the ocean.
I've probably watched all these shark documentaries at least twice, if not more times! I really cannot get enough of learning about sharks, watching them swim or hunt, how they interact with other sharks, how they react to these free divers.... The list goes on lol. I cannot wait until my husband and I get to book our trip to Guadalupe, I already know I'm gonna be addicted to it immediately!! We really need to be a lot more aware of our actions and the consequences they have.... Shark hunting needs to be aggressively punished, these are living creatures, they feel pain like we do. Shark fin soup needs to just not be a thing anymore. It used to be a big deal like twenty/twenty five years ago, now it's served most often at weddings. We need to save the sharks, in order to save our oceans, in order to save our planet!!!
Not once was any of those beautiful animals anything but curious, not agitated or predatory or bloodthirsty. Just calm. I know that isn't always the case, but they aren't the crazy, mindless killers we are sometimes led to believe either!

The great marine predator the white shark and take away this misconception of them that they are human killer, in which is wrong and this documentary explains us the magnificent animal that fascinating us. We hope to protect them against the illegal hunting and destruction their habitat. 🦈🦈🦈🦈 thanks for sharing this interesting episode. Great job.
A great documentary. The efforts of films like this go along way in helping to establish new laws of conservation. These awesome creatures must be respected and treasured for future generations. Perhaps gps units should be placed on fishing nets so they can be retrieved when they cut loose. Sharks even the great white are not the apex predator of the ocean that title belongs to the killer whale; they hunt down and easily kill great whites.
Yes but they just share a few places, Maybe they meet in California or New Zealand (more rarely) that is it, Orcas are more seen in Alaska, Japan, Norway, Washington, so the main hunting grounds are not the same! Let's say they are both Apex Predators in their Territory
This absolutely not the biggest predator in the ocean. The "Killer Whale" is absolutely the top predator in the seas. Turns out there is a reason they don't call them "Ocean Ponies"
I don't why these experts are always out to make the White Shark look non aggressive. Tell that to the thousands of people that get attacked and some die. Even if someone here got attacked, they wouldn't say anything. They would edit it out
Its really interesting how the sharks do not attack free divers , the same in Hawaii I saw videos of free divers swimming with a massive female , that blew my mind completely , then you see fisherman shell fish divers in Australia who are using tanks regularly eaten
They attack free divers as much as anyone else, meaning not very often. A free diver was killed spearfishing at Guadalupe Island in the 1970s. (The shark was swimming below and turned sideways to eyeball him, just like the diver in this video said). One free diver named Robert Pamperin was eaten whole off San Diego before that.
I love how the first sentence the narrator says "This is the biggest predator in the ocean".....sorry bud, but the Orca (killer whale) has the Great White beat by a long-shot.

I love that Fir Seal coming in swimming circles around the great white like "Hey guys, you ain't THAT special" 🤣

“Biggest predator in the ocean” ORCAS JESUS.

Riding on great white sharks 🦈 incredible
I've been tuna fishing on the islander before. Good boat
Orca's are the biggest predator's in the ocean. That opening statement mucks this whole video on truth!

Pardon the correction, but I believe the Orca is the biggest predator in the ocean. Up to 22ft and 9500lbs.
