My wife made my Rosary. I use it often and, being a guy who has a hard time focusing during prayer, it has been a great tool to have my mind set on Christ during the prayers.
I would love to see what she made ! I'd love to make one as well , based on my wonderful experience with a Catholic school, although not Catholic-- my dear friends mother gave me a crucifix which would be the focal point
Amen. I prayed it when I was evangelical too. lol. It’s PRAYER! and a tool to help you. Nothing wrong with that. Just not in the RC practice or method. But otherwise it’s fine even the prayer itself.
If you are born again, w faith in Jesus, heaven is yours. Jesus isn't religious. It is all by His grace. We can do nothing to earn it- we are wicked sinners before being born again. And after, it is Hos righteousness that covers is and makes us clean- nothing in ourselves. Trust in the Lord Jesus' life death and ressurection and you shall be saved. Praise be Jesus Christ now and forever.
@@khappy1286 Yes but we will be judged. Will God judge us only based on faith? Virtues are only done through faith. How can you people sit there saying the things we do do not matter. Of course they matter. We are called to imitate Jesus’s life in the flesh. Meaning, doing all the things he did. Baptism was part of his life. Your sins will be cleansed and you will be united to the Holy Spirit and the you will officially correspond to your Guardian angel. It’s a different thing if you can’t get baptised because of reasons, God is loving and understands, he doesn’t want us anything bad. Christ is our friend, our brother, our God! He doesn’t hold a stick in his hand to scare us away. But, refusing baptism, that’s different. You think Jesus only symbolically got baptised? This is the prophecy about the second coming of Jesus Zechariah 13:7 “Awake, sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is close to me!” declares the LORD Almighty. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn my hand against the little ones. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence. He tore us to pieces which is the scattering mentioned in Zachariah and Mathew. In prophecies 1day is equal to 1000 years. Which means after two thousand years Jesus will return again. And on the third day which is the 3rd millennium, we will live in his sight. We all know we cannot see God's face and live on Earth. So it's the second coming of Jesus. Luke 21:11 ► There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. We are the witnesses of all these things. From the death of Jesus to 2030 - 2033 there are 2000 years. There was an eclipse in 33 Ad. So it's best to believe that Jesus died in 33AD. Jesus is coming soon. Thank you so much for this video. I am an Episcopal and have felt God leading me to the Rosary, but was concerned with the deification of Mary. I had been praying for guidance in praying because I had a hard time with that. This clarifies and opens all kinds of doors on how to use the Rosary as a tool for prayer as a Christian. Thank you brother and God bless!!
I am an Episcopalian; I was a UMC ordained elder. I just got a rosary and love it! I pray the Hail Mary and the Jesus Prayer. I alternate the prayers for each bead. Of course, I stay with the other prayers and creed. By utilizing both, it has helped me ease into this discipline. I will probably buy more rosaries so I can have one of them with me at all times. I can see why people call them their battle beads.
@@brendonpremkumar8207 Only if you pray hail Mary's on it. I have since found the Anglican Book of Prayer and find it a better guide for deep and guided prayer. The 1920 version is better than the 1973 version.
I am not Catholic but went to a Catholic school and had a very wonderful experience with it- in fact we had an essay contest based on why we love the Catholic school with no names shown and my nun teacher laughed after when she said my goodness our little Baptist one the contest ! The rosary is such a powerful tool for growing closer to our Lord and deepening our love for him. I'm Catholic so obviously I pray it the traditional way. But I'm really happy to see other Christians utilizing it and seeing benefits of it.
You are going through a intense spiritual warfare. I did so for many years. It is ok to love Mary. I expect people to respect my earthly mother. Our Lord Jesus expects us to respect His mother this we can should be sure of.

@@frederickjohnsen4246 no one worships her, except for heretics. People tend to forget what the word pray actually means, it means to ask, or to wish. When we ask the Holy Mother of God to pray to God for us, or to help us, is that heretical? She is alive! So are all saints. They are more alive then us. Would it be a sin to ask a fellow Christian here on earth to pray for us? And the reason why we venerate the Holy Virgin Mary so much is because she literally didn’t commit a single sin, out of will (orthodox view of it). And that is hard to achieve. She gave birth to God and have him the flesh. How can she not be holier then all angels and saints and prophets? She gave birth to God. And we are all called to be like her, God-bearers. We have to bear Christ in our heart, the Holy Spirit in our bodies and the Father must always be in our minds.
@@frederickjohnsen4246 The Virgin Mary loves us. She has a very sweet heart. Anything you ask her out of true faith and true love, she will make sure to request to God. This is very awesome. I love this video. There was a Lutheran theologian in 16th century that prayed the Rosary and wrote treatises on Eucharistic Adoration. Gnesio-lutherans were like the Anglo-Catholics of today. Both groups have a deep appreciation of ancient Catholic faith.
I love evangelical catholic Lutheranism's commitment to maintaining continuity with the Early Church instead of trying to reconstruct a new one and throwing out the baby with the bathwater in the process
Thank you so much for this video and the pdf that I am going to download. I have a lot of catholic rosaries that I wanted to use but I had a problem with the Hail Mary's so thank you so so much for giving me a Christ Centered prayer to use and I also use Anglican prayer beads as well. I also have a prayer journal that I use to keep my mind on track while praying. 😁
Early Lutherans prayed the rosary, using the older from of the Hail Mary, "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus". "Pray for us sinners" was not added until some time later, after the Council of Trent, by the Roman Catholic Church.
God bless you. I did not expect that turn in the end :) Have you heard of the chaplet of devine mercy? It is most commonly prayed at 3 pm about the time our lord died
The Lutheran rosary uses the Jesus prayer instead of the hail mary and the magnificat instead of the traditional Marian prayer at the end of the rosary. Being excatholic and no longer venerating the saints or Mary, I still find meditation on the points and events of the life of Jesus a great thing. I'll be incorporating it into my devotions starting on Ash Wednesday.
definition of venerate - regard with great respect - How sad that you have no great respect for the Mother of God nor any of the saints who answered the call of Jesus to "Follow me" - Why we shouldn't venerate anyone who answers His call, including you?
@@steffski1946i have respect but i’m not going to say hail to mary why? Because its not scriptural you can say it is but its not, its a bad translation best translation is “greetings” “blessed are you” or “full of grace” mary being full of grace is a no brainer she’s the mother of God carrying God inside her the one who brings grace, to hail her is just too much, tbh the word in greek used is honestly a really difficult word to translate into English.
@@theSpaghettimeister i know i am decently educated on eastern and western ideas and theology, while yes you’re right hail did mean greetings but often times when speaking to orthodox and Roman Catholics not saying all of you but a lot tend to conflate hail with a greater meaning then just a greeting.
@@theSpaghettimeister i mean i personally have no problem with asking for intercessions from saints but the problem comes with ways some people go about doing so.
Sure, what's your point. It's not a prayer directed to Mary in Scripture. It's a greeting made by Gabriel to her as she was here on earth. I could take any Bible verse of someone addressing a person who has since departed this veil of tears -- but if I recite it in any way other than as a Bible verse (as though I am attempting to directly address that person in the present), that's the sticking point. We have no warrant in Scripture to directly invoke departed saints, and since "prayer" is an act of worship (as it requires faith), and Scripture doesn't give us any other category of "non-prayer heavenly invocation" we would do well to avoid it.
@@vngelicath1580 You have no idea about the power on asking for the prayer of the Holy Mother.Repeating the verses in the Bible is remembering and honouring God Himself, as He is The Word made Flesh.🙏🙏🙏The problem is, if people read and interpet the Bible without the guidance of the Church ; 1 Timothy 3:15 Douay-Rheims Bible But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. 🙏🙏🙏We believe in intercessory prayer bec the Bible tells us so. One must be aware that the Bible and the Rosary are not opposed to each other, they’re not mutually exclusive. Without the Word of God there would be no Rosary, and praying the Rosary only magnifies the Word of God in the soul. In fact, the prayers of the Rosary find their very source and meaning in the Bible. The 20 mysteries of the Rosary are meditations on events or teachings found in the Bible. All three essential prayers prayed on the beads of the rosary use words that are written or find their roots in sacred Scripture. The “Our Father” prayed at the beginning of each mystery are the words of the prayer Christ Himself taught His disciples (Matt. 6:9-13). The “Hail Mary” is the most common prayer in the Rosary and begins with the words of greeting to the Virgin Mary from the Archangel Gabriel and her cousin St. Elizabeth (Luke 1:28, 42). The Third prayer known as the “Glory Be” has its roots in the book of Revelation 4:8. The Holy Rosary makes absolutely NO obstacle to the Word of God. In fact, the Rosary makes the Word of God more apparent and allows us to fathom it depths and allows the soul to commune with The Word Himself. The Rosary doesn’t prevent the Word of God any more than plates or silverware prevent one from eating a meal. The Rosary places NO obstacle to the Word of God any more than a telescope obstructs an astronomer’s view of the heavens. My life has changed since I prayed the Rosary.I have never love Jesus the way I do now, most of all amended my life.May God bless you .Ave Maria🙏🙏🙏
@@mariateresa9965 From protestant perspective it is deeply disturbing how much attention Mary is given who after all was nothing but a human. I simply can not wrap my mind around why would I ask a dead Christian If I can even access her to pray for me instead of going straight to my creator.
@@ReasonAboveEverything Don't most Christians profess belief in the "communion of saints"? That means what when a believer dies, they are closer to Jesus, and thus are in a better position to intercede with Jesus for us than living friends here on earth. And yes, you can indeed go straight to your creator, but why not ask your friends to pray for you too?
The story of Mary delivering the Rosary to Saint Dominic was never officially sanctioned by the Church. Most scholars think the rosary slowly developed over time. Also, it's true the second half of the Hail Mary wasn't common until after Trent, BUT the phrase goes back to the council of Ephesus which reaffirmed Jesus' duel nature AND unity of person by keeping the title "God bearer" for Mary, and not simply "Christ bearer."
The Divine Mercy prayer can be said using the Rosary as well. "Eternal Father I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of thy dearly beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and the sins of the Whole World."
@@sarco64 In the old Testament the unblemished Lamb was offered to God the Almighty in atonement for sins, in the new Testament Jesus is the Lamb that was slain, Jesus came down from Heaven as Man for this purpose so that sins could be forgiven by his death on the cross. The Rosary is a tool to help focus our prayers, to review to life of Christ and to meditate on scripture. I am in between churches having just relocated to a new area.
Listen, I just wanted to say that finding this video was an answer to prayer. I was shocked when I found what was on the glorious mysteries, and that just stopped me in my tracks. But I knew that praying a rosary was helping me, so this was just what I needed.
I am at that same cross roads. I read that repetition prayer is wrong. I am a person who says the Holy Rosary daily and I have been at a stand still. Should I keep saying it... or stop because it dedicated to Our Mother Mary and not to God.
The Lord lifted the prophet Elijah up to heaven in a fiery chariot so He certainly can and did take his own mother up body and soul. Praises be to the powerful and merciful God!
6:47 it seems to me that you don't understand basic meaning of vain repetition of prayers and songs. Lord Jesus Himself sang songs of Passover during Last supper.
Iam a Lutheran Orthodoxist as well what a small world! I pray the Lutheran rosary as well and the rosary I say Hail Mary, but I only say the first part and I don’t say the second part because it is not scripture and that’s what my church taught. So I pray to God and Jesus and sometimes The Holy Spirit for guidance. Yes I love being a Lutheran Orthodoxist and I believe anyone can be saved from their sins, and both babies and adults to be baptized. Salvation is free for all to have, if they want to choose to have salvation though. We confess our sins to God and sometimes to a priest I you want, it is not a requirement to confess to a priest. I believe that Jesus Christ is the king of the church and not mary, and we only respect her as our earthly mother. I believe that God is the mostly Holy of all. this what my church teaches. This is awesome though, and you did a good job explaining how to do the rosary. May God be with you. Amen.
The "Hail Mary" prayer is biblical. In the Gospel of Luke we read that God sends the Angel, Gabriel to proclaim to Mary that she is to bear the Son of God. Upon coming to her, the Angel greets Mary, saying, “Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, whom you will name Jesus."
6:00 Son of God saying the prayer 2nd and 3rd time. I am not surprised that you are taking Scriptures out of context. Lord Prayed 2nd and 3rd time because the disciples were sleeping, if not then once was enough, the point was Lord Jesus wanted the disciples to pay attention and listin to what He was praying.
1:25 where is it forbidden? Well if it is not in Perfect Holy Scriptures then it is a tradition created by men, and Christian are forbidden to follow traditions of men. Not all traditions created by men are bad though for eg saying sinners prayer is not found in Scriptures but for a newbie Christian how doesn't know what to say at altar call can really be helped by sinners prayer Paul also said dont go beyond what is written. And if Perfect Holy Scriptures dont have it I dont need it.
I mean, from my perspective you can, but I'm sure there are plenty of quality Orthodox resources for prayer & devotion out there as well. I'd check LegacyIcons.com I know that they have many devotionals.
I couldn't agree with you more. The only thing that I would add is, when someone says that something isn't commanded in the Bible, instead of just saying "where is it forbidden?", I would let them know that it isn't commanded to believe in a Trinity either.
I just wanted to drop a comment to let you know that I haven't been ignoring your comment. It's actually a very good questions. One I feel deserves some dedication to preparation, rather than just turning on the camera to talk about it. Hit that subscribe button & notification bell so you don't miss it when I upload a video addressing Sola Scriptura in the Scriptures! Again, great question! Thanks!
Sola =/= Solo. Meaning: We don't completely deny the council of church history and fathers as complementary to our faith and heritage. It means that we place the Holy Scriptures OVER AND ABOVE any tradition or council compiled by human effort. The tradition of the Holy Apostles and prophets ARE scriptures. They were affirmed as such long before any official canon was compliled. So "sola scriptura" is just a phrase we use to distinguish that the Bible is the highest form of council and authority the church has, and not the traditions of any council, papal rite, or human tradition, as binding to the Christian faith as such.
@@jonwatson3271 you are stuck in the old conundrum what came first the 🐔 or the 🥚? You seem to admit that the Church Fathers influenced the cannon of new testament scripture. But at the same time believe that the new testament is the highest authority. So who wrote the new testament? Did God write it like he did the ten commandments by his own finger? No he inspired the Church with heavenly wisdom and the Church wrote the new testament scriptures. So who has the ultimate authority? The new testament inspired by God or the Church that was instituted by God and Is inspired by God? The conundrum is solved. God left the world a Church established by God the Son when on his mission. The this Church wrote the scriptures and authoritatively selected which books were inspired and which were not. By whose authority? By the authority and promised guidance of God. So God left the world a Church as the ultimate authority in the world.
The Hail Mary is divided into three parts; what St. Gabriel says to Mary, what Elizabeth says to Mary, and what we say to her. With the third part being intercessory prayer which is discussed in the book of James.
There's nothing wrong with praying the Hail Mary either. It is Scriptural and Mary spoke in prophesy "All generations will call me Blessed." even as St. Elizabeth gave super-veneration to Mary and called her "Blessed".
Vain repetition is pretty self explanatory. It doesn't mean repetition is bad, it means that to do it in vain is bad. How do you do it it vain. ? Basically by keep breaking all the rules
I think it’s a matter of personal preference & comfort if conscience. A lot of the candles & incense I use are from an Eastern Orthodox company, & im perfectly ok with that. But others may not be, & that’s ok too.
@@1517FILMS Thank you for the reply. I’ve actually always been drawn to some of the Eastern Orthodox art work. Especially the candle holders and paintings. If you look at Mary as the first believer, the symbol of the church, then including Mary in the mediations of the Rosary is probably uplifting and helpful. I say this because Mary is with Jesus, especially when he was suffering as well as in joy. Also, keep in mind there’s also the Luminous mysteries, which is all about Jesus. And Mary says at the Wedding at Cana, “Do whatever He tells you.”

I came across your video and I must me honest. My jaw dropped. I am thankful you made this video but I am at a loss as to how to go about using a rosary. I did have sever questions about your rosary. First, is the center, what is it exactly? I can’t tell if it is a flower, image of Jesus or what. It looks like a chain rosary/. What did you make it out of?? I have plenty of beads here and would like to make my own. What kind of chain, wire etc did you use? I can’t tell if it is a crucifix like a Roman Catholic rosary or a plain cross like an Anglican rosary. Further, is this a 10 decade rosary (Catholic) or an 4 (7 beaded sections) like an Anglican rosary. I am sorry I have so many questions. I have never heard of an evangelical rosary.
Im greek orthodox but my family before roman catholic. My great grandfather passed his rosary down to me after he passed. Its a thing of beauty, the craftsmanship and design is amazing. Anyway i really want to learn to pray with his rosary. If i remember right the rosary is all about the virgin mary and praying to her? Would it be wrong or disrespectful to use a rosary with different prayers? Or even just holding it while i pray? Sorry if the questions seem strange or stupid. Thanks for any help
Hi! I do not come from the same tradition as you. But if we think about your question, why would it be bad? The rosary is to help you to pray. And I think that even in your tradition it is taught that Mary points people to Jesus. I think the beads are to help us stay focussed, and that is the main thing. Beads or not, just focus on God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit 🤗
There surely is a difference notifying your friend that you would like some prayer assistance and continuously asking prayer assistance from a woman who died 2000 years ago who apparently has to collect prayers of millions of other people. If I would call 54 times to my friend that I would like him to pray for me he would tell me that I have a problem and that I need to keep building my own relationship with God instead of coming to him.
"Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you" is biblical. And the other half is asking Mary to pray for us. So why do you have a problem the hail Mary?
Hail Mary is the first word from heaven that crushed Satan’s head!! Even first miracle of Jesus was done upon mediation from his mother, even though his time had not yet come!! Study Eucharist miracles and see the proof that Jesus still lives and he is god that created life by his word, this is my flesh!! It’s his loving heart!! God is love.. creation was started within his loving heart!!!
Where is it forbidden? You can’t use argument from silence. Because where does it say that we’re not supposed to be sealed together in the temple forever as Mormons do? Where is it for bidden?
@PeterMaxwell .... in the tradition of the Israelites the Queen Mother of the King had powerful influence ....think of Bathsheba and Solomon... Solomon says to her .... “make your request Mother, I will not refuse you.” That is the reason we pray to the Blessed Mother ....we know she will take our requests to the Lord .... it is different than the prayers we pray to Our Lord .... it is intercessory prayer. You say where does the Bible say to pray to dead people? Are the saints not alive in Christ? Especially his mother? Also the words of the Hail Mary are words taken from Luke’s Gospel .... not only does the Angel Gabriel refer to her as “Full of Grace” but her cousin Elizabeth says “who am I that the Mother of my Lord should come to me.?” At the foot of the cross, Jesus told John to behold his mother ... from that moment on he took her into his house.” Our relationship with the Mother of Jesus only makes us closer to Our Redeemer. She helped redeem humanity as well... something Protestants don’t seem to acknowledge....she gave the wonderful “yes” .to be His Mother. She is human not divine but we love her, honor her and ask her to pray for us. It was her free will to say yes to be the Mother of the Redeemer of the world... this was not forced on her, she gave her assent (just the opposite of Eve) and she always points us to her son. Do we not honor the woman who carried him in her womb? she was the first Christian. Honoring the saints .... those closest to Christ.... takes nothing from our Adoration due to Him alone. The prayers of the Rosary are a meditation on the Life of Christ and we ask the Blessed Mother to guide us with that meditation.
Jesus didn’t tell us not to pray the same prayer again, quite the contrary when He gave us The Lords Prayer saying: “when you pray say this…” Jesus told us not to pray by heaping up empty phrases (Matthew 6:7) thinking it will make us heard. He never forbade us from saying he same prayer twice. But the Gospels do record that even Jesus, the night He was betrayed, prayed in the garden multiple times “saying the same words again.” Matthew 26:44. And the book of Acts records that the ancient church devoted themselves to “the prayers,” (Acts 2:42). So, from the onset Christians have had specific prayers for specific seasons & times throughout the Church year. Your pious & self righteous interpretation of one out of context verse, is the exact opposite of “nuff said.” Do better at recovering from knowing it all.
If I don't have something to keep myself focused, in other words an Anglican rosary, my monkey mind shoots off in 13 different directions at the same time.

Mary is the Mother is Christ physical body therefore she is the Mother of his Mystical Body. If she is not your mother how are you the brother of Christ? How are you in the family of Christ? She is the first sign of God’s mercy as he told the Serpent in genesis “ I will put hostility between you and the woman( immaculate conception), between her descendants and her descendants, she will crush your head and you will wait in rest for her heel” . She is the mother of the new Creation of God in Jesus Christ. Revelation 12 -17 “ and the devil was so ANGRY at the women that he went to wage war against her children ( and and who are her children?) those who keep the commands of God and hold testimony of Jesus Christ. As an evangelical who claims to love Christ I have one question . If you are children of God who claim to keep his commands and hold true testimony of Christ, WHO IS YOUR MOTHER? Angel Gabriel told Mary“ The Lord is with you “ that is a perpetual statement Which means Mary IS the sign of the truth of God, she is the protector of his truth , wherever she is God is , wherever she is there shall be no heresy. Wherever she is there shall be TRUE testimony to Christ. If she is not your mother in Christ you are orphan. There is no stealing Jesus from her , she doesn’t go anywhere without her baby boy. You cannot push her out of the way to see Jesus , as a matter of fact you need her permission. Yes she prays for us that we may have God’s mercy and for peace in the world , so yes she shall be included in our prayers. I rather ask my mother in Heaven to pray for me than a sinful pastor . Amen
I think it’s funny that these people in the comments bemoaning the rosary as something Protestants definitely shouldn’t do bc it’s not biblical are 100% ok with keeping a prayer journal to help you focus and remember what/who to pray for. Lol

GREAT presentation, presented with love - Catholics do NOT worship Mary - We say the rosary because her soul magnifies the Lord as described in the magnificat from Luke's gospel in the Bible - - Disrespecting Mary is a form of violence - If more people simply respected and loved the Mother of God the Son perhaps there would be less violence against women in the world - Worth a try?
I have a bracelet with the Ten Commandments, and I sometimes use it for memory verses, etc. I do find it helps keep my focus on the recitations. I find the Roman Catholic faith very interesting, yet confusing too, as things like beads etc. are not point blank in the holy scriptures. All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. Some of these topics need the be weighed carefully as not to offend thy brothren, and Gentiles. Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
The prayers of the rosary are definitely grounded in scripture. The first part of the Hail Mary is the archangel Gabriel's salutation to her: "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee." The second part is the greeting from Elizabeth: "Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb [, Jesus]." The third and final part is where we ask her to pray for us: "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen." As we do this, we are meditating on various aspects of her life (the Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries).
This video is three years old now so I'm hoping you have moved on from the errors that you have held to. Praying the ave Maria is not another gospel. For me Trisagion (Holy God, Holy and Mighty, Holy and Immortal, have mercy on Us) is better replacement for Three Hail Mary(s) than Jesus prayer. While for replacement of 10 Hail Mary(s), the better replacement is verse from Scripture that you read, for example in Joyful mistery just repeat 10 times: Be it done unto me according to thy word. Or in sorrowful mystery, repeat 10x: Mark 14:36, and for Glorious mystery repeat: Acts 1:8 10x. Glory be on the end of each decade, followed by Fatima prayer. For the closing prayer: Magnificat or Pre Tent Hail Mary (or Byzantine Hail Mary) for Joyful mistery, Agnus Dei or Stabat Mater Dolorosa for Sorrowful mistery, and Sanctus for Glorious mistery.

Its really funny watching you trying to align a rosary with christianity to begin with. We associate the rosary with the catholic church because the catholic apostolic church killed off all of the pagan religions they appropriated from. Communion, baptism, offerings through songs, the holy calendar including holidays like christmas and easter, the north star, using terms like lamb of god, are definitely older than christ himself lol.
fall fall: I’ll grant you that prayer beads (or ropes) are not commanded in the Bible... but in order to defend your claim that I’m “leading people astray,” you need to show me where in the Bible they are forbidden!!! And, if it turns out that a Rosary is NEITHER commanded NOR forbidden in the Bible, then I’m not leading anyone astray... you are... by saying something is “NOT biblical,” that is neither commanded nor forbidden!!! So, I politely ask you to defend your claim from the Bible.
Mega churches that preach the prosperity gospel and Republican ideology are not biblical and lead people astray. Choose your targets wisely Autumn Grace! 30,000 Protestant denominations exist all claiming to know what is correctly “biblical,” sometimes vehemently disagreeing with one another. Study church history AND some theology before you decide what is “biblical” and what is not. You will not find “altar calls “ ANYWHERE in the Bible, yet this practice is a “staple” among so called evangelicals! Should we declare this practice “unbiblical.” If so, by what authority?
For a long time I was told it was wrong by various extremist Baptist and Adventists and Jehowah’s witnesses groups. But I read into it in more details and I can say it is NOT wrong to pray the rosary. The Rosary is biblical The rosary is very CHRIST-centric - it is not a prayer to Mary. It is a meditation on the life of Christ. Each mystery of the rosary is focused on the very Biblical events of the Gospels. Luke 1:28 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. In that same verse that Gabriel calls Mary highly favored (by God). Another translation we might see is “full of grace.” That means that the first part of the Hail Mary, “Hail Mary, full of grace,” is straight from the Bible. The word Gabriel uses in Greek is kecharitomene, - literally filled to overflowing with grace. We also see in Luke 1:42 Elizabeth addresses Mary, saying, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.” Again, this is directly found in the Hail Mary. It is becoming clear that the Hail Mary does not contradict the Gospel message. Instead, it is a profoundly biblical prayer. Then we have Holy Mary - she is Holy by the grace of God. And Mary is the Mother of her creator i.e. she bore in her womb and gave birth to her creator. Jesus preceded her and created her, just as a man creates a ship to carry him to a distant land. So Mary is the Mother of God-Jesus, the Mother of her Creator. And we request her to pray for us sinners.
The DNA of Jesus is 100% that of His mother. Think about it. So if you say you love Jesus but don’t think His mother deserves the respect and reverence, you’re literally a hypocrite. There’s NOTHING to lose but to gain from going to the blessed mother for intercession. That’s not “worshipping” her, it’s asking her to take you to her son, Jesus because let’s face it…we’re all sinners, not worthy to come straight to the king of kings for any favor here. Honestly, do you think you can just check in the White House and expect the president of the United States to meet you or give you whatever you ask? But, hey if you’re lucky to personally know his mother or have some connections with some of his cabinet members or some important and influential politicians, in the spiritual case it would be the saints in heaven, maybe they’ll take you to meet the president. It’s all about networking, I guess😂the blessed mother is our spiritual mother. Jesus entrusted her to St. John at the foot of the cross, that’s all of us! God is that generous and loving, so don’t turn down His precious gift! Don’t offend Him by offending His very own mother! Instead of constantly protesting, try obeying for once and taste and see the difference, truly ask God for the truth and don’t be biased. Seek and you’ll find. Knock and the door will open for you.
My wife made my Rosary. I use it often and, being a guy who has a hard time focusing during prayer, it has been a great tool to have my mind set on Christ during the prayers.

If you are born again, w faith in Jesus, heaven is yours. Jesus isn't religious. It is all by His grace. We can do nothing to earn it- we are wicked sinners before being born again. This is the prophecy about the second coming of Jesus
Zechariah 13:7
“Awake, sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is close to me!” declares the LORD Almighty. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn my hand against the little ones.
The Shepherd here is Jesus.
John 10:11
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
This is the fulfillment of the prophecy of Zachariah .
Matthew 26:31
Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written: “’I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
This happened near 30 to 33 AD.
Now coming to Hosea
Hosea 6:1-2
Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds.
Luke 21:11 ►
There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.
Matthew 24:6
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
We are the witnesses of all these things. From the death of Jesus to 2030 - 2033 there are 2000 years. There was an eclipse in 33 Ad. So it's best to believe that Jesus died in 33AD. Jesus is coming soon. Let's all repent and turn from our old ways and turn to the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
Peace and Love to you all

Thank you so much for this video. I am an Episcopal and have felt God leading me to the Rosary, but was concerned with the deification of Mary.

I'm hiding my rosary from my parents who are evangelical. They would be horrified if they saw it.😫

We don't pray the Rosary to "merit" anything. We pray the Rosary to join our individual minds, hearts and wills to God's will, as Mary did.
I really like the Anglican Prayer beads.
But how come the same Hail Mary is prayed in the liturgy of the Syriac orthodox church including 'pray for us sinners'
It was pretty widely used before Trent, but both are acceptable.
Lair. Mary appeared and gave us the rosary and she told us to pray to her. Revelation 5:8 says the saints have prayers. They are praying for us.

Hail Mary is a bible verse
@@vngelicath1580 You have no idea about the power on asking for the prayer of the Holy Mother.Repeating the verses in the Bible is remembering and honouring God Himself, as He is The Word made Flesh.🙏🙏🙏The problem is, if people read and interpet the Bible without the guidance of the Church ;

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
It would be more consistent with Protestant theology to pray "Eternal Father, I receive from you ..."

The first part is bliblical, the prayer itself isn't.
Just because the words you use are from the Bible doesn't make the practice itself (in this case praying to anyone but God) biblical.
@@CenterPorchNP So don't pray it.

Where is Sola Scriptura in the Scriptures?
The scripture is the final source of authority in any matter.
A: The words of the Hail Mary are solely from scripture. B: You are playing Ave Maria in the background. Is that meant to be ironic?
Yes, I chose to play Ave Maria in the background to be comedic & ironic.
The Hail Mary is divided into three parts; what St. Gabriel says to Mary, what Elizabeth says to Mary, and what we say to her. With the third part being intercessory prayer which is discussed in the book of James.
James 5:14-16 is an example. It doesn’t pertain to the rosary directly but it offers the idea of intercessory prayer. (Also in 2 Corinthians 1:10-11)
There's nothing wrong with praying the Hail Mary either. It is Scriptural and Mary spoke in prophesy "All generations will call me Blessed." even as St. Elizabeth gave super-veneration to Mary and called her "Blessed".
Have you thought of using Protestant/Anglican prayer beads instead of a Rosary?
I have not. But if you'd drop a link to a video or two (that you like) about them, I'd definitely watch them to learn more!
Vain repetition is pretty self explanatory. It doesn't mean repetition is bad, it means that to do it in vain is bad. How do you do it it vain. ?

If you look at Mary as the first believer, the symbol of the church, then including Mary in the mediations of the Rosary is probably uplifting and helpful. I say this because Mary is with Jesus, especially when he was suffering as well as in joy. Also, keep in mind there’s also the Luminous mysteries, which is all about Jesus.
Great job!
"no other mediator=no hail Mary" I take it then that you never pray for others?
There surely is a difference notifying your friend that you would like some prayer assistance and continuously asking prayer assistance from a woman who died 2000 years ago who apparently has to collect prayers of millions of other people. If I would call 54 times to my friend that I would like him to pray for me he would tell me that I have a problem and that I need to keep building my own relationship with God instead of coming to him.
"Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you" is biblical. And the other half is asking Mary to pray for us. So why do you have a problem the hail Mary?
I use the rosary to pray the Hail Mary the medieval way , divine mercy , Jesus prayer , and our father
You use it to pray the pre-Trent Hail Mary?
Hail Mary is the first word from heaven that crushed Satan’s head!!
Even first miracle of Jesus was done upon mediation from his mother, even though his time had not yet come!!
Study Eucharist miracles and see the proof that Jesus still lives and he is god that created life by his word, this is my flesh!!
It’s his loving heart!! God is love.. creation was started within his loving heart!!!
Who thinks they can merit forgiveness of sins by praying the Rosary or any other prayers for that matter?
Nobody should. It's a way to concentrate on the conversation with God.
The prayers of the Rosary are a meditation on the Life of Christ and we ask the Blessed Mother to guide us with that meditation.
jesus said not to use repetitive prayers. nuff said
Jesus didn’t tell us not to pray the same prayer again, quite the contrary when He gave us The Lords Prayer saying: “when you pray say this…” Jesus told us not to pray by heaping up empty phrases (Matthew 6:7) thinking it will make us heard.
The Hail Mary is biblical almost every word comes from scripture. It’s not Mary adoration or worship we ask Mary to pray for us.

Where is, “holy marry Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death amen, found in scripture?

I’m gonna visit catholic and orthodox churches with my friend from school who is looking into converting to Christianity. I think I’m gonna end up Orthodox but I wanna think and pray about both churches.
Amen
AMEN🙏🏼❤️
This was brilliant 😁
I think it’s funny that these people in the comments bemoaning the rosary as something Protestants definitely shouldn’t do bc it’s not biblical are 100% ok with keeping a prayer journal to help you focus and remember what/who to pray for. Lol
Acts 2:42
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
The word 'the' is NOT there.
The Apostle pray for nine days than the Holy Spirit came. That why we Catholic have nine days novena prayers. For nothing is impossible with God.

Dear god, why are you ignoring me, and blessing people who dont even pray? I pray all day everyday but it seems like you bless atheists more than you bless me! Should I stop praying or something? Should I stop playing money affirmations videos? Because the blessings are going to other people than me. What should I do?
The first part of the Hail Mary is the archangel Gabriel's salutation to her: "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee."
The second part is the greeting from Elizabeth: "Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb [, Jesus]."
The third and final part is where we ask her to pray for us: "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen."
As we do this, we are meditating on various aspects of her life (the Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries).
This video is three years old now so I'm hoping you have moved on from the errors that you have held to. Praying the ave Maria is not another gospel. The first and only church is the catholic church as taught by the church fathers etc in this video you are so close but so far. If you havnt undergone conversion yet may God bring it about.

For the closing prayer: Magnificat or Pre Tent Hail Mary (or Byzantine Hail Mary) for Joyful mistery, Agnus Dei or Stabat Mater Dolorosa for Sorrowful mistery, and Sanctus for Glorious mistery.
old testament pre figures new testament, king Solomon had his Queen beside him who was his Queen his mother, Jesus could destroy the devil and his fallen angels in a blink of an eye. He humiliated him more by letting his Mother crush his head(genesis 315)of the most accurate translation-duriam bible. JESUS is the head Mary is the neck, think about that.example=you go to a king you bring him a gift of apples, u have good intentions but the apples worms inside and not real perfect. give it to the queen she will take out the worms put it on a gold plate and present it to the king. same with our prayers. He spent 30 years with Mary 3 years public ministry He wants his Mother honored
Truly, you have a dizzying intellect...
@@1517FILMS oh my gosh you are quoting The dread Pirate Roberts! 😆 I love that movie!
Wrong wrot wrong
Prots are so backwards
Isaiah 42:8,9. Ex 20:1-5. A rosary is idolatry. God allows no images in worship. These are all false christians.
Why do you keep your family photo behind you ?
You are come in a basket from where.
this is clearly one to insight and two to mock absolutely despicable
Everybody wants to be catholic without being catholic. Lol. Nice video though.
If you aren't praying Hail Mary's, yoi aren't praying the rosary, you are praying a string of beads.
The rosary was originally used for Psalms.
@@Ru_bizzy if you are referring to the Dominican rosary, that is not accurate.
Rosarys are NOT biblical at all you are leading people astray
fall fall: I’ll grant you that prayer beads (or ropes) are not commanded in the Bible... but in order to defend your claim that I’m “leading people astray,” you need to show me where in the Bible they are forbidden!!!
The Rosary is biblical
The rosary is very CHRIST-centric - it is not a prayer to Mary. It is a meditation on the life of Christ. Each mystery of the rosary is focused on the very Biblical events of the Gospels.
Luke 1:28
28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
