한국건강관리협회(메디체크)는 부산의 서쪽, 도시적으로 소외된 준공업 지역 내에 새로운 건강검진센터를 열어 이 지점이 지역 사회의 새로운 활력소가 되길 희망했다.
건강검진센터는 의료시설과 상업시설의 성격을 동시에 갖는다. 또한 수많은 의료 인력들이 업무를 보는 사무공간이기도 하다. 이런 복합적인 요구 사항을 조율하는 것이 내부 계획의 핵심이었다면, 외관은 화려하지 않아도 상징성을 띌 것과 기업의 고유한 아이덴티티를 표현하는 것이 디자인의 주요 목표였다.
The Korea Association of Health Promotion (MEDICHECK) opened a new health examination center in a light industrial district in the western part of Busan, which is marginalized in terms of urban context, with the aim of making this branch a new source of vitality for the community.
The health examination center has characteristics of both a medical facility and a commercial facility. It is also an office space for a large number of medical personnel. While reconciling these complex requirements was the core of the interior design, the exterior needed to display a symbolic characteristic without being fancy, expressing the company’s unique identity.
