- Infinix Hot 8 'Midnight Black' Unboxing and Review. Barely 5 months after the launch of the Hot 7 series, Infinix has launched a successor. Hot 8 has the biggest battery (5000mAh battery) and display size (6.6 inches) ever seen on an Infinix phone with a tall 20:9 aspect ratio, purely designed for watching movies.
It comes with a 2019 make over in form of a triple camera set up and drop notch. The Hot 8, just like its predecessor comes with 2 variants which is the 2GB/32GB variant in my review and the 4GB/64GB variant which will only be available in select markets. The 4GB/64GB is unique for packing a better Mediatek Helio P22 Processor. I compared the camera with the S4 to see how well the triple camera works and this should help you decide which to buy between them.

Come on guys why the hate, I believe infinix is doing a great job, they make decent smartphones on cheaper prices for mostly Africans, talking about 2gb ram, even Samsung did a phone with 2gb ram, consider the market. Their main selling point is Africa, and most Africans dont fancy spending alot on smartphones. So they make average cheap ones, if you got lots of money, go buy those top range smartphones and stop undermining infinix.

That's true for most other brands, even Apple and Samsung only make incremental changes, and those are the premiere brands. Also if you want revolutionary technologies you can't expect those from budget brands. These brands are more about offering great value for money with nice perks like that fancy TPU case.

Hey, may i suggest that when you're looking to buy, you should re-watch a lot of phone reviews without skipping some parts. That's what i do 👌🏾
Hot 8 and S4 phones are made for 2 kinds of people. Hot 8 is for people who want to save money, watch movies and have the longest lasting battery life possible on an Infinix phone, while S4 is for people who want a nicer looking phone that can do a little more at the same time, a little faster than the Hot 8 can.
All these devices looking too similar. Anyway, big battery, big screen seems cool.

Eric which is better between Infinix hot 8 and Umidigi A5 pro?
Umidigi A5 has better specs on paper but I haven't used it so i cannot recommend you buy it over anyphone. The Umidigi One and A3 Pro that i reviewed had heating issues that got worse over the weeks. I don't know if Umidigi fixed the software coz I gave all the Umidigi phones away.
