Lapland 2019: Polar stratospheric clouds in Kiruna

Rarer than the Northern Lights! That hasn't stopped us seeing them twice whilst Lights have avoided us, though. Sometimes the clouds in Lapland develop a sheen with reds, oranges and purples. They don't stick around very long, so we were lucky to notice them in time to get out the door and start taking photos. Unfortunately, the nature of the light means that cameras don't really pick up what the eye does, but this clip at least serves to give you a small idea of what we saw.
