Good Stuff and videos. Hunted and killed a good buck that was bedding less than 40 yards from the back of the Farmers barn and house. Took me a few times of hunting too figure out where he was and how he was moving. The Big boys always seem to use cover and areas that we hunter over look.

Like the video! I’m bow hunting my hometown here in Harlan Ky. The deer numbers are low and zero ag. Steep rough mountains. I’ve been using big power line edge that’s close to transition into oaks...

Trail cameras for confirmation of seasonal activity would be valueable

During the rut (especially) clumped-up droppings are usually made from a doe, buck droppings are usually hard, black and more individualized indicating a poor diet as bucks dont eat as much as does.

How do you know it’s buck bedding?
Asking because I’ve finally learned how to find these. Sometimes it’s real obvious with buck sign. Or maybe just 1 nice rub.
But sometimes it’s in a type of vegetation here in SC that they just don’t rub(sweetgum/pine mix) but everything else lines up to be buck. And clearly consistently used bed.
Do does ever bed like this?

My bad. Yall are answering this in the video. I hadn’t made it that far.
I will say I had seen on video bucks shit pebbles.
But I agree, if it’s very large. It’s a big deer.

Clumped droppings don't always mean Bucks, eating a lot of woody browse will cause it...jmo but when I find them I assume that they are also.

All that sign you're finding is Young bucks the big bucks are away from people that's why they're big
