我是鄉村長大的小孩，長大後選擇往城市移動，休假之餘回到鄉下休息那真的是一件很美妙與心理放鬆的感覺，先生每次都很期待陪我回娘家。
再我童年的時候我可以跟鄰居小孩不受拘束的玩一整天，左右鄰居都會幫忙照看，那真的是城市看不到的風景。
我結婚的時候幾乎整村都來了吧🤣80桌酒席
年輕人喜歡人多又熱鬧的地方，他才會覺得有跟上流行的步調，鄉村可以在放假日的時候再去玩。

但要上學的話還是覺得住台中市區、離學校近的地方比較好
反正台中市區到郊區很方便～
放假的時候再安排一日小旅行，探索周邊也很快樂
只要父子在一起、住哪裡都無所謂、陪兒子成長、應該是爸爸最快樂的事，也是孩子一輩子最幸福的時光🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for visiting my lovely hometown.I was born in Fengyuan but have been living in Europe for 20 years.And additionally I used to live in SA where your cute son has been living with his mom. Watching your trip in Fengyuan just made my mouth watering, especially all the traditional Taiwanese food you have tried.Those are also my favorite food in Fengyuan.And the temple where you were sitting and enjoying the pineapple ice drink was also part of my spiritual seeking spot as I was young. My mom even finally got a baby boy about 49 years ago,my younger brother,after her deeply sincere praying for a year to a great God she believed in.My last visit there was in May this year. I miss my family and city :(

鄉下生活雖比較悠閒，但小孩還在求學階段，生活的便利可能更重要！而且剛搬到一個很遠的地方，讓小孩感覺生活在台灣的好處，會讓他比較開心😊，也減少離開熟悉環境和親友的不適感。

依照我住在不熟悉國家的鄉下過，我覺得城市比較好，因為交通方便而且各方面資源比較多，威廉還沒習慣台灣，如果有時不需要爸爸開車，他也能走路或搭運輸工具去想去的地方，這樣比較能發展生活，不會有被困住的感覺，不過如果有機會和資源，讓他都住一段時間，再讓他自己選
鄉村和城市不是重點！孩子喜歡哪裡才重要😂

I vote for daily convenience. Being close to public transportation is a huge plus. Especially near the school he needs to attend. You can always save the countryside for weekends and holidays to get away and a change of pace from city life.
My thoughts, Alan: I've watched your videos over the years and can see not only that you care greatly for your son, but that you understand the education system in Taiwan well. My suggestion is that whether you pick city or country, let him attend a regular Taiwanese school. It will be hard, at first, but in the end, he'll be bilingual. This could be a huge advantage for the future!
身為土生土長的台中人，我覺得住在交通便利的都市，是青少年成長間比較首要的條件之一
原因是國高中的學生，多半假日出門如果沒有家長接送，就會需要搭公車，能住在公車能不轉乘就到鬧區或圖書館等區域是滿重要的，還有有時候玩的比較晚，家人也不會太擔心交通上的問題
另外跟朋友出門，也不用一大早奔波出門～
雖然在台中都市生活確實沒有見過多少田，更沒玩過什麼抓蟋蟀，但這些都可以趁週末去鄉村走走時補足！
期待威廉可以來台灣，希望這些意見有幫助❤

我個人覺得，小孩的成長在鄉下有很多探索自然跟寬廣的空間，城市雖然很便利，新鮮事物很多、人口也比較密集，人跟人之間的相處有時候容易存在比較，你拿什麼手機呀？戴什麼手錶？什麼名牌文具用品等等。
鄉下相較之下比較純樸，在成長過程，比較能專注在自我探索與接觸大自然的發展。
或是也可以嘗試各住一段時間後，在做最後決定或許也可以。
你可以找一個介於城市與郊區之間的地區、既可享受都市的便利也可在鄉村感受著悠閒的生活！

以一個傳統台灣家長的個人想法覺得：求學時期，都市教學的資源相對會比較豐富，但相對壓力也會更大一點，尤其國中開始，因為台灣的教育比較不像國外一樣注重開心成長，但如果是我，還是會選擇在都市。
很難抉擇耶…
因為我這邊是喜歡動漫、模型玩具、3C產品、卡牌專賣店。
所以有在跑店家和漫展之類的
而且想去的地方都在捷運線上，坐車就可以到，或是騎車也可以
住在城市離不開這些補給線
真的有這些興趣愛好再來講好了

I believe that if the school offers bilingual courses, it will help your son adapt more easily to life in Taiwan. There are many bilingual schools in Taichung, though some can be quite expensive. Suburban areas might not offer as many bilingual courses as city schools, and the students' English proficiency might not be high enough to communicate well with William. This is just my opinion for you to consider.

我建議在台中，除了生活機能好之外，假日到各縣市交通也便利，。但是鄉下的話，年輕人住久了會覺得無聊。南投人給你的建議😊
我認為，要先居住都市在中，讓威廉完成學業，畢竟台灣有12年的國民義務教育，而且，還能在家談論在學校發生的事，並一起完成學校功課。
假日的時候，再帶著威廉一起出去走走，一起度過假日時光，比較合適。
其實你可以跟你的兒子解說，市區及鄉村(市郊)好處方便優點，及缺點不方便的地方，讓他了解思考，由他來做決定，當然住後不習慣可以改變，可以更換

反正台中市區到郊區其實很方便～周休二日就可以去鄉村
若在台灣，我會選擇住城市，因為新鮮感（always have something fun going on)，方便，安全，很多好吃的東西），國外則是鄉下，因為城市不安全，擁擠, overwhelmed and not safe.

I would choose downtown Taichung. Best if it is near his school, an MRT station and a park. If all 3 isn't possible, perhaps pick any 2 out of 3. I am curious about the international English-speaking schools. I know of 2 in Taichung and both of them are expensive. How do you work out the finances as a RUclipsr? I know you can save money by not flying to South Africa to see your son, but it is a small savings compared to tuition.

I would not say which is better as I was born and raised in countryside of Taichung, not far from Fengyuan. But I get used to live in a city now.

如果你喜歡放鬆而且經濟生活都允許，那麼住郊區往返市中心不會是個問題，如果你喜歡快節奏的生活喜歡熱鬧，那麼住市區往返郊區也不會是個問題哦。😅
你可以住鄉村一個星期,再住城市一個星期,兩個都試試看.有時候會因為氣候環境不同孩子會有過敏生病,還有你住的地方人如果很爛,你會被影響
