One subtle mechanic you missed: you do not need a notepad for testing ??? Combinations. If you try a “miscombination” you got previously, the name will be “miscombination” instead of “???”. ??? is always a specific combination you have not tried.
Pretty cool concept, and even cooler to see Brazilian devs. The UI could use some small improvements and I'm not particularly a fan of the art, especially for the reagents, but pretty neat game. And, as obviously orher people pointed out, "carapa" does not indeed mean turtle. It probably is a reference to "carapaça" (carapace), which refers indirectly to a turtle, so I guess it's sort of like how Pokémon berries are named.
Im brazillian (and of course speak brazillian portuguese) and Carapa does not mean turtle. BUT Carapa does promptly remind me of "Carapaça" which is a portuguese word that means the same as "Carapace" in english. And that IS something turtles (and that enemy) have! That could have been a coincidence either way but it is interesting. On another note its awesome to hear this game is from brazillian developers I had no idea! I hope the game is successful and Ill keep my eye on it
Little note from seeing this played by Retromation, you don't need to make notes about the miscombinations. The red bar above the crafting table will tell you if what you're making results in a miscombination, or if you haven't tried those reagents in those specific slots yet. (It displays ??? if it's a new placement of reagents that hasn't been tried before.)
I like the implications of the deck builder mechanics.. like, our guy is just randomly whipping shit out of his bag and then figures out what he can do with it lol
I think the company has this name, but normally we call a turtle like 'tartaruga' or 'cágado'. Those are the most common portuguese names to call a turtle.
Looked like a cool little game. Interesting mechanics but with the limited recipes it seemed like every run would feel kinda same-y. I'm excited to see where it goes in act 2 with the 3x3 grid and already the new horn reagents.
Would love if this became a series. Circadian is not really all that interesting from a viewer's point to me, but this one has a lot less RNG it feels.

Narrator: "Carapa did not mean turtle in Portuguese".
Carapace does mean Shell, as in the one of a turtle, in French, so this is probably where it comes from.
@@PruneauYT Oh yes, same as 'carapaça' in Portuguese. Probably where it came from but it's funny regardless.
@@sevenifier Oh sure, I didn't mean it was inspired by French, but it was evident that carapace in whatever language variation was the idea.

Don't forget "jabuti" as well!

3х3??? This game's amazing! Definitely wanna see you play more! Love, peace and alchemy
cool game, nice vid, one small problem, the game is marked as Slay the Spire for youtube lol
RUclips sucks at knowing what game indie games are.

Unfortunately circadian is gonna continue probably for a long time. I do have like 4 new series coming though so stay tuned
@@OlexaYT that's fine. You should do what you like, and I'll just skip what I don't. :D
👍👍👍 in so excited for you to play this! Here's 3 more thumbs up
It's kinda fasinating, it's like they flipped the energy/card usage from STS
This seems like lots of fun
I thought this game was boring and had basically no spell variety, but they went and dropped the 3x3 crafting table bomb 👀
Magic minecraft ftw
I feel like 9/10 times “alchemical” could be changed to alchemy and work better
Hold up, this isn't modded Minecraft skyblock!
ah fuck I was wondering why it looked so different
YAY Brazilian games!
Smh where's the third arrow?
