    I'm sure the contractors hated you, however as a woman who lives in a home, I completely appreciate the design tips! ---And I'll tell you why! lol, I used to work at a granite countertop place as a drafter. I got to go into peoples homes and find out the choices they had made and see a project from the beginning to end. I also spoke to quite a few local designers who actually made me think designers were terrible and only going for aesthetics. They would use pedestal sinks wherever possible--which i loath--they would put completely un-cleanable tile in kitchens and baths, they would take out storage space to make room for something that would never get used, (and they typically would dress in one color from head to toe). LOL! It was cool to help homeowners make decisions that would work functionally and aesthetically for them, and being a homeowner myself made it so fun and realistic. So Thank you to you for solving space issues and being realistic about how homes are used and lived in! It's a breath of fresh air, and I can't wait to see more!

      @TeresaDupuis 6 лет назад +7

      Lol, maybe it looked smaller BEFORE she worked her magic? It is on the bigger side of "small" apartments. Many of the spaces are open to each other and multipurposed also. Like the living room has the bar area and opens to the kitchen, and seems bigger than it is. It's gorgeously worked around and balanced out. I feel like my whole town house is smaller, but it's just her talent at changing moods and focal points and locations of materials and storage spots executed wisely.

    • @aphroditeennis8562
      @aphroditeennis8562 6 лет назад +6

      TDupuis oh yea she's a master with this stuff, the way she organizes and places furniture makes the space seem bigger than it is, the camera man also likely had a little bit to do with it. Also I think for people who can afford this stuff, it's a little small lmfao

    I was actually doing a search on RUclips for an apt. complex I'm going to look at, and somehow your video popped up in my search. I ended up watching the whole thing. I love the fact that you included all the attention to detail that you put into this loft!! It highlights your professionalism and the pride you take in your work. Like you said, I never would have noticed the Ombre tile effect in the master bath had you not mentioned it, but what an amazing touch!! And in a couple of different places, you used the same stone or tile, but with different textures....I really like that idea. An urban loft has always been my dream home; now THIS urban loft is my dream. But for now it's an apartment for me, so I'm going to incorporate your idea of the mirrored tiles, it's really a pretty effect and I also happen to love curtains!! But I have a question; it looks like you have 25 of the small tiles grouped like an actual window, did they come grouped like that with the metal or wood frame, or was each square sold separately and the grouping and frame custom made by you? And I think you said you purchased them at Pottery Barn? Again, thank you so much for the wonderful information, less than 2 minutes in on this video I hit the subscribe button, so I'll be watching more....

    Amazing! so many outstanding and creative ideas (particularly the wood wall to make the view from the entrance symmetrical - I'm a nut for symmetry too!). Also super creative idea to hide the seam on the cooktop backsplash and the little shelf looks amazing and is also useful. Love the brick - really gives the place the urban loft feel. I agree about pedestal sinks - i hate them (no place to even put down a mascara nevermind anything else - bathrooms need lots of storage!) Putting the mirrors in the windowless bedroom was brilliant! The light fixtures throughout are stunning - particularly love the ones at the master bath vanity. And the larger doors also balance the high ceilings much better. I'm sure your clients were overjoyed! Well done

    I think somebody must have accidentally hit the thumbs down button or they need to be seriously flogged, LOL. I love hearing the theory behind the execution. It is sheer genius. And I really want to know where the mirrors in the master bath came from. They’re super sexy and stunning. Great job,once again. Grand slam out of the park.

      Thumb down because this is not a small apartment at all. This is a decent size apartment. Design wise, it's great but def not what I'm looking to maximise storage spaces at the same time make a tiny place look more spacious.

    Unbelievable work. I don't like how often you say "I" and how you inflect it. Came off as narcissistic instead of confident. That being said I would hire her in an instant. So incredibly talented!

    I love your creative and clever design strategies for apartments especially. Although I enjoy many of your house projects as well. I myself, live in an apartment right now and there are some challenges with 421 sq ft.
    Because there is such an amazing transformation of your take on interior design. Love, love! Wish you were in Canada as well.
    Such beautiful lighting and use of space. But always fresh and up to date with a twist here and there of new and exciting accessories, furniture, art, transforming problem areas and really listening to clients needs and wants.
    You have such a gift for renewing spaces and bringing them back to life again. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me!

    The mirrored bedroom wall was pure genius, what an impressive illusion!. I normally dislike mirrored walls and find them quite tasteless and garish. But the finished design on this was impressive and gave the room a great aesthetic.
