  • PSA: An awesome viewer informed me that semolina is not gluten free. Semolina is from milled golden durum wheat. I should have researched this before. I'll used cornmeal when my friends come over!
I was really surprised while making this video. Gluten free pizza crusts has evolved so much over the years. If you have gluten sensitivity, you will be shocked by this video. My friend who has Celiac disease taste tested the pizzas and was amazed by the results.

Such a great comparison video!🎉🎉. I use both Caputo and King Arthur and agree with your thoughts on both. I do find the King Arthur brand a little more cost effect and easier to find but really like the results of both. Thank you again for a Great video!

Thank you for those comparisons. It’s exactly what I’ve wanted to see. I purchased both Caputo and King Arthur. Made Caputo but not cooked it yet. I froze my pizza dough balls. Not sure how they will thaw. But your video really was spot on. We have GF and Celiac in our family - good bread and pizza are what everyone misses the most. Again, thank you for this well needed video. What pizza oven do you have or recommend?

You're welcome! Thank you for your comment! I'm glad the video was helpful. Many viewers informed me that semolina flour is not gluten free, so make sure you use other flours. I'm currently uploading a new gluten free bread flour video right now and it will be ready to view tomorrow morning.
I have the Breville Pizzaiolo pizza oven. It's pricey so I wouldn't just buy it for gluten free pizzas. A pizza stone or cast iron skillet might be better options. If you're in the market for a pizza oven, I would check out the Ooni Pizza oven. They just recently came out with an indoor pizza oven that goes up to 850°F.
      I hope that helps!

Thanks for the great video. Always looking for gluten alternatives. The two top choices did look like they baked like a pizza crust better. It would be interesting to try Bob's Red Mill with no egg.

HI ,my sons gluten intolerant.we use caputo gf flour as in the video.its super easy and heres how i make it.i use a full bag ,this will give 6 balls of dough which you can freeze or stick in the fridge.full bag of flour in mixing bowl, add 20 grams salt.fill a jug with 800ml of water slightly warm/tepid.add 20 grams of active yeast sprinkle in jug and keep stiring leave for 10 mins should go frothy on the top.add the water mixture to flour in mixer and let the mixer run for a good 5-10 mins, add about 60ml of virgin olive oil and mix in for a few mins untill its really all mixed up well.cover the bowl with cling film/reynolds wrap and leave for a few hours .dough will rise.divide mixture in about 280 gram balls, here a bit of gf flour on the surface will help to squash into a ball, cover with film and put in fridge or freezer.just half the quantities for half bag.the only thing xtra i had to buy was a food mixer that was able to mix all of this as i didnt have one.we just bought a cheapy off amazon for £50.good luck
