The playability, action and overall quality is very comparable to Taylor guitars. This is understandable since the two individuals who started Kepma spent a lot of time at the Taylor facility in California learning their production techniques.

For me, it also has to do with JOBS for US workers. With a little bit of innovative shopping we generally find products at fairly competitive prices. There are independent builders all over the country who will build a good instrument at a fair price. Sorry for going off-topic.

Non-replaceable batteries are not good to put into guitars. You want a guitar still fully useable after 10-20 years. I have an electronic game from the 80s. More than 30 years old. Still functional because it uses AA batteries. Fortunately most guitars with pickups uses 9v batteries.

Why does it matter where it's made if it's a quality product? I'm a huge fan of Eastman, which are hand made out of China. They are just as good as some Martin's, Taylor's, etc. for a 1/3 of the price. I mean hey, if you have the money then get what you want. But, if you have to follow a budget like most people, then life is too short to overpay for brand names.

They sound fine and who can argue the price, but one has to question the need to import more from China? Forget the virus. Do they have transparent business practices in terms of environmental conformance, proper channels to acquire and sustain tone woods, worker safety in their factory, subsidies from their government, etc.?If you want cheaper then you eventually cost workers their jobs here and thus reduce your customer base.
