Hope bmw cash in on this and make a 900rr or rs or whatever with upgraded suspension very similar to that ktech. And a nice exhaust. And the ability to turn down abs more than stock. The f900r should've been a modern day husky nuda, but isn't quote there in stock.

They do sound quite nice! Could be fun to have a >700cc and an upto 900cc class for the supertwins. SV650/R7/RS660 and then a KTM/BMW class....not sure if the BMW's would be much quicker than the 700cc class though...
@Franz Fanon I did 4 x back to back track days around 4 circuits in the south island nz.. I was riding my husqvarna nuda pretty much a f900r but with under seat fuel tank and 179kg.. My best match for fun was ktm690 one was stanard and the other was fettelled with. The ktm is about 134kg and 72hp from memory... Obviously it cornering was amazing but what suprised me was the grunt out of corners and i only just had a bit more on the straights upto 180kph.. So lap for lap depending on the circuit it was a heaps of fun play with the strengths and weaknesses.. So it could be pretty close , those f900r / nuda nakeds run out of puff much after 200km, the 100hp rs660 may slip through the straights a fraction quicker???
Ooh that does sound very delectable. I hope we got some competitions going. Should put this vs 890r, MT09-SP and some others. Time for another middleweight shootout?
@@FortyFourTeeth Really? Standard trim that bike has roughly the same power with a better spread, brakes off of an S1000XR which are loaddsss better than the MT09's wooden pads, and the suspension with D-ESA is well sorted, if not up to par with the MT09 SP and KTM 890 R specifically, but it's definitely a match for the base MT09 and base 890
Putting in a bespoke suspension really is the single biggest improvement that can be done to a bike. I’m running full Maxton kit on my Honda Hornet and the difference is just massive. Transforms the whole bike into an absolute weapon without breaking the bank or having to buy a new bike altogether.
I absolutely agree, to put it into perspective I went 11 seconds faster around cadwell park after getting forks sprung/set up and fitting an ohlins shock…..I then went a further 4 seconds faster after fitting a k-tech cartridge kit, it was a different bike that just inspired confidence.
