- Since this is one of my all time favorite songs by
one of my favorite artists i felt i wanted to make a
tribute to the song with a slideshow made in
Sony Vegas.

I found out late in my life that my Great Great Grandfather came from central Ireland. I often wondered why the sound of a distant Piper would stir me so. This song and the beautiful pictures have that effect on me. Johnny Logan's beautiful Irish Tenor Voice, like his father's before him do this song justice. Lindblomz, your slideshow tribute is just wonderful. Thank You.
Out of the rocks and the soil and even the rivers of this blessed land of Ireland, come the echos of those who passed before us. They surely stood for something above themselves, they sought for the right to become a sovereign Nation with the exposition of a talent that can only be Irish. In their inheritance they exuded a music, they surely proclaimed their talent through their cry for that inheritance, that cry from the past. The cry for justice of those who gave all they had for this cause.
