Great review as always, Brian. I remember reading Full Dark, No stars when it came out, and I couldn't put it down. It have to his most darkiest, violent collection. 1922 was so graphic in the description when the farmer persuade his son to murder his mother and dump her body down the well with all the rats. Horrific and nasty. Big Driver was good, also very violent when the female writer is assaulted by the truck driver. But my favourite is A good Marriage, like you mention how can a,woman be married to a husband for thirty years and not know he was a serial killer? Brillant story, really gripping stuff.
So. Full dark no stars is the first book of kings that I have read i really enjoyed big driver definitely my favorite story i have watched the adaptations of big driver and 1922 I really enjoyed them ⭐⭐⭐⭐

You definitely should give the movie adaptation of big driver a try it's really good Maria Bello did a great job in the film
