My unit has failed . The 2A fuse ( on the circuit board ) keeps blowing,. I cant see any obvious signs of a short. Any suggestions? Is this a common failure. What is the most likely component fail?
How long does it need to charge the v12 battery of a car?
hi Andrew. Can i used this charger for Ducati scrambler 1100 sport with a ducati adaptor ?
does it charge ups battery 12v 9ah?
Can i use on a EFB car baterry?
Bardzo fajny test
It doesn’t even show correct voltage… you measured it 12.35 and this tool is showing 12.00. Also seems to be you are holding this item for the first time) very poor review
Do you have to plug the battery in the socket to use it? Or do you charge it up first then use it on the car?
it doesn't matter both of the ways is ok, just don't use your car when you charge the battery turn off all the power consumption until is charge
TechGuru Andrew thanks
Will this work on a lithium motorbike battery? 12v
No, lithium batteries are not supported
Thanks 4 sharing
charge agm gel batteries?
position No 4
Show me the screen error
I just bought one and if battery isn't 3/4 full it won't charge. Haha, it's actually just a trickle charger, even though the box says it charges flat battery. It won't.
It really does you just need to use it
can this device be itself charged and then used to start dead batteries without plugging it ?
NO is battery charger
Major Design Fault.
If the voltage is 10V or below, It can't make up it mind if the battery is 6V or 12V.
Won't charge. Will need to hook up to an old fashioned charger to bring up the voltage.
on 10V, 12V battery is dead..
Totally true. I let the lights on on my bike, battery completly zero voltage. It didn't want to charge... after charge a little wirh old charger, this one started charge from ~10.5 charge :/ i think i will need an old fashioned charger, also :(
No no, last week I charged two batteries that were deeply discharged. One was 8.5 volts the other 10 volts. When I pressed the button the charger did not let me choose program just started blinking. I thought the battery is beyond repair. But when I left it there I noticed voltage was rising. When it came to 10.5 it allowed me to choose a program and charged the battery almost fully. This device also has pulse charging for desulfation of deeply discharged batteries. But I need to say that the batteries that I charged were really on their way. You shouldn't let a battery get so discharged. And also - the manual the charger says it will charge only above 7.5 volts
Information about Ah for this device is u available.Based on that, assume it's crap.Does anybody knows how many Ah this device has??
It puts out 0,8A for motorcycle batteries of either 6 or 12V and 3,8A maximum for car batteries. It's no cap at all I would say, especially for the money it costs...
It shows me the screen error what I do
unplug it from the battery and try again.
probably battery charge is under 6.5v and is useless
Dont you think that it is strange, that your multimeter shows 12,36V and charger measures 12,0V only?!!!? Does not it mean, that it either charges by at least 0,3V out of spec or your multimeter is wrong? And you did not notice, did not explaine .... You, TechGURUAndrew
12v chargers have a running voltage of 14.4 volts.
Err message
Hi Andrew. Does the charger have to be plugged into a mains or does it charge and hold a charge so you can take it out side to a car?
Thanks :)
what the hell kind of a question is that?
Needs plugging in the mains. The charger doesn't have an internal battery.
I think you're referring to powerbank jumpstart.
Accu is not good. Look manual.
Hi! mine just show 7.3v and nothing happens no battery blinking on LCD, when i press that button on the left LCD displays 3 blinking lines.
any idea?
give it a minute
Your battery is dead take it to the dumpster. You have some bad elements in it, it cannot be charged. It is broken.
Hello, Is it normal if the voltage rise to 13, 9 when charging?
Thanks for your video!
Yes, this is normal
@@NoName__..-- thank you!
Yes, under program 2 (the car symbol) the charger applies high current until it reaches 14.4 volts, then it reduces the current and the battery voltage falls to approximately 13.3 volts, then the charger keeps charging it with the lower current until it reaches 14.4 volts again. The blinker stops and battery is fully charged. Then the current gets reduced even more only to keep it from self-discharging (trickle charge). This is the manual for the charger: www.manualslib.com/manual/887908/Ultimate-Speed-Ulgd-3-8-A1.html
You edited the video it dropped from 13.5v to 12.7v dodgy vid
Nope. The charger will stop charging once it senses the battery is charged. So that drop in voltage was the charger turning the charging current off.
If you see at around 3:39, the charger sensed the battery needed a bit of "help" and started charging automatically.
This little machine is a great buy just because of that: You can leave in 24 hours on inside your car and it will maintain the battery in good shape without human intervention.
You know motto"Recognize professionals by his tool?"...when I see multitool for 3 usd....I am no watching futher !
moto simbol is normal charging - car symbol is fast charging.
With moto symbol on, it charges with 0,8A. With car symbol on, it charges with 3,8A.
Nothing
