Awesome! SIX LOCOMOTIVES??? That HAS to be the most engines I have ever seen on any Amtrak train! Thanks for sharing!
Nice Catch on those Siemens Chargers
Very good video
I noticed an extra sleeper at the end of #4. Why was that there? When the two leaders came back the sleeper was there again
CameraManRailFan How many sleepers are they supposed to have?
Normally there are three and one is the transition sleeper. But I don't know why there was one on the back
@@CameraManRailFan Possibly a last minute change at the Chicago yard. My guess is one of the sleepers had an issue so they cut it out and slapped a new one on the back for time.
Good catch! Cool horn on the BNSF GEVO. Any idea what that coach was for?
The engines are 21st century but I bet the Superliner bathrooms are still the same thing since 1975!
+mindlessgonzo. No, sleepers were totally upgraded a few years back.
But that's the sleepers. What about the rest? I could only afford coach.
4:03 wow! nice catch of that inspection train!
Are #1400 and 1401 the only SC-44 Chargers, the others don't look to be. The others don't seem to have the 'X' venting panels on the sides?
The others are Genesis units made by GE. 1402, which was part of this fleet, not in the video was scrapped due to derailment in Dupont, WA
Do you know what the BNSF unit number it is?
Coool!!!
How many locomotives do you need to pull a passenger train at 70mph, feckin ell.
z00h. 79mph. The new locomotives were being deadheaded to LA.
actually, this train operates at 90mph on sections of the route!
z00h about 5 locos are needed for a 70MPH Z train.
6 locomotives, very underpowered.
Not really because 2 of the locomotives were for delivery
Dude, he’s kidding.
