The continent will never be a country.
Some countries may choose to cede their nationhood, sovereignty and republics.
      See EAC to EAF.
Others are headed in the opposite direction, with further balkanization or secession from within. See Naija or Cameroon for national example. Or ECOWAS with its current impasse with the Sahel Alliance, for regional example.
Ultimately, it will be up to the respective populations themselves to determine how they choose to move forward.
      All 54 of them.
      Their decisions will be respected.

@@josephawidhi. where was your country when the Sahel Alliance revolutions took place? What position did it take? Did it even so much as hint at support for their emancipation initiative? Or did it join in the sanctions and obstructions against them?
Your people put a stooge like Ruto into power, who but EAC countries would even joke about the prospect of his leadership?
Speaking of EAC, you have the likes of Museveni and Kagame ruling for decades, leading looting and genocidal campaigns against Afrikan neighbors. What makes you think any of us want to be Congo?
That circumstance is for you folks in the east to sort out for yourselves.
It is EAC that has stated the intent to cede their countries. No other region has similar intent or prospects.
Not the north with the Arabs. Certainly not ECOWAS. In case you have beeensleeping the past 2 years, ECOWAS is headed to dissolution, as countries such as Sahel Alliance states have exited. More countries made likely to do so than to join.
It is not reasonable or realistic to think that any of the Sahel Alliance countries are going to reverse course to return to a circumstance they have already escaped and are reaping the benefits for doing so.
At the same time there are other countries that are democracies that have no intention of surrendering their systems to strongman rule. They have been there and done that already. The learned their lessons, graduated and have no need or inclination to repeat the class.
So you can keep daydreaming. Or better yet fix your own country, instead of thinking others want to fix your mess or deal with having their own plans derailed…

Thomas Sankara was and is still praised and honoured by almost the entire country of Burkina Faso and he was a Christian. Again look at Senegal, 90% Muslims yet voted for the only Christian candidate Leopold Sedar Senghor as their first president! Africa’s affair has always been different, an anomaly. As far as I know, Western Countries-especially the USA-have been eager for decades to export their political and economic model to the rest of the world without bothering about the consequences of ultraliberal politics on those nations in the Global South. To achieve that goal, the USA and its European allies have resorted to a broad spectrum of actions, including brutal economic sanctions and military interventions to destabilize or even change regimes that were perceived as a threat to their dominance.
Iran is in no way capable of exerting such a powerful and nefarious impact if we assumed they wanted to, as this video states, without convincing facts.
Just because Iran and Burkina Faso open commercial ties does not mean that "Iran will export the Islamic Revolution". I propose a more pragmatic approach: Let the people of Burkina Faso and their representatives decide with whom they trade. Let us have trust that they will know better than analysts from the West what suits their country and their society.

Listen the Middle East and Africa have all the natural resources needed to develop most powerfully than anywhere else on earth, why do you think the west is so resource rich? By oil and natural resources from where ? Not Europe AFRICA AND THE MIDDLE EAST. So all my brothers work together to prosper. Respect

In science agreements l ran must teach Bakina Faso nuclear technology in exchange for uranium. Africa needs nuclear power to be respected by the west. Our minerals must be used as a bait to get what we dont have from those who have it and who are enermies of our long term exploiters. A western economic emphasize d in his lecture why the west must keep Africa poor and only harvest raw materials from.us. This makes me wonder what are are our leaders still offer them raw materials instead of demanding local benefiation out of what we have.. of we have uranium the atomic bombs must be made here or the technology of making them be made available to locals by those who need it and so must it be with other minerals. Traore is wise and bold .l love his movements.

You say that Iran is exporting its revolution to Burkinafaso. How can you say that? Is it your thought? Did both countries say that or are about to realize that? If it is their choice to deal together or not? According to you, which relationship with which countries must be suitable for Burkinafaso?

Those contracts are what's most important. It's bad contracts that ended Africa in the mess it's in. Africa must benefit from any new contracts made with any new nation. Otherwise, what's the point?

Traore is trying to unit African countries to gain strength in numbers to prevent the expoloitation that they have previously suffered from the west. The last person to attempt this was Gadafi so the support and bi-lateral relations with other strong countries will hopefully prevent Traore meeting the same fate that he did!.

The issue is , how many Afrikan governments actually back Traore?
Most of their leadership still serves Traore’s enemies.
They continue to present the threat of a Judas.
These divergences still existing are amongst the many reasons the continent will never be a unitary state.
Some countries prefer to stand alone than to lay down together in chains.

Religion should be kept out of how the state is run, before long the divide will be along Christian vs Muslims division. We do not need that now in Africa. To balance this, none Islamic in countries in Africa should sign pact with Israel.
