I love how Peter wraps this talk with 47 seconds left on the clock. The ones who really prepare for these talks raise the bar. I know my success hinges on challenging myself, physically, psychically, on all levels. I haven't been doing that recently. I've made lack of money the excuse. Something about the way Peter Sage presents works on you even when you're not thinking about it. There's an art to this.

Peter, yet again I feel compelled to write a few words! So, congrats on such an epic feat. Im not one for running at all, but I have been to the desert and it is testing…let alone going for a gruelling endeavour. Much respect. And its not just about the 5 days, its also everything that led to it; the planning, the constant fitness regime, the organisation and commitment required. I suppose that’s a metaphor for business success, it isn’t about the day you pick up the sports car or move into the mansion, but all the time before that. Your story about the flare is also of great interest… developing strategies that align with goals but based upon knowledge of oneself: putting the flare at the bottom knowing that the hassle would outweigh the temporary moment of weakness/temptation. But also, weighing the risks; that is, should the occasion be a snake bite, time is critical. It reminds me of a stock trader when asked “do you think the market will go up or down?” He said up. Then proceeded to short stock. Confused, the questioner asked about the apparent contradiction. “Oh sure, it will go up in general terms, but today, if it goes down, it will drop like a stone” - exposure to the big wins whilst bleeding in the short term. The story of the blind Korean man was also intriguing. You just had to find out didn’t you!? Curiosity. Very strong. So, it wasn’t really the Korean man that helped, he just happened to be there, but without your curiosity, it might have been different. I love that. Given all the risks, the physical effort and the dehydration - it was overcome by curiosity. I wondered though, have you found that drilling too far into curiosity leads to “the void” - or is that just me?

This video was awesome. I was however expecting a reference to Matthew 5:41 that says And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. (These were the words of Jesus).
