No one was calling for Spence to come into the squad in the preseason this year. So OK, maybe given his level of performance maybe he could have been rotated in a little earlier, but Ange was critical to getting Spence to where he is today. It's world's apart from how Conte treated him.

Even the low wage to revenue ratio, supposedly part of the reason for our troubles, is part of the process having cleared out the high earning last generation of players. It'll grow from here. We will never get where we want to be without going through this process, and I for one will see it through and support the boys 100%.
