    The first time I saw spurs was in 1953 against a Sir Stanley Matthews side so I have followed Spurs in the good times and bad times. This LWOS episode was especially good. All comments made were from the heart. Our slide this time started when the new stadium was completed and the stadium became a money-making entertainment venue. Mr (sarcastic) Levy can only see the purchase of new players as a business venture and as a brinkmanship deal, which in football will often not work, you are dealing with young gifted footballers who can easily sign for another club. As an 80-year-old I am quite happy to handcuff myself to the chair when I next go to a home game, maybe this sort of peaceful protest is needed. Any protest has to be well organised and done collectively by many fans to have any effect. I WANT MY FOOTBALL CLUB BACK

      I've followed Spurs since 1984 and i have to agree with this fine gentleman.. we must all protest Levy in a peaceful way.. for me i would boycott going to the games.. if Levy dont wanna sell then Start a new Team like Wimbledon did.. I know im being sarcastic but.. i've HAD ENOUGH of Levy. I love Spurs and always will.. C.O.Y.S.

    Well said all in an articulate and passionate way... 42 years i've supported this club and i didn't care if we won the league, we won cups and pleased the eye with a passionate team with fighting spirit and a cavalier approach however now i cant see anything, enic have done nothing but fill their pockets turning White Hart Lane to the Tottenham Entertainment Centre... The shareholders are taking their money and laughing at us? A letter writing campaign asking a question of the chairman could form a protest e.g over a thousand letters a day would completely jam up the administration offices. We have the fan base to do it, all we need is a standard letter everyone could download from your podcast and others. I have seen it work with complaints against local Government offices, it is peaceful but a complete nuisance! Just a thought same with phone lines into the club? Just needs to be organised?? Great show as ever!

    My darkest days as a Spurs fan was watching us get relegated in 77' and we have difficult days ahead gents but appreciate the podcasts. The squad has always needed the same level of detail, quality and no expense spared as the stadium, but you all know thats not happening. They board dont need success on the pitch to be successful off the pitch. its been a 24y Groundhog day. My trust for the board is zero.

      @@nadspurs they should stick with ange if he kéeps them up - which I am sure they will - U need perspective - when Arteta came in at arsenal they were nowhere in the league in year one and 2 - granted they won the FA cup in 19-20 but that season was half over when he got the job so he can't take much credit for that - they got into top 5 in year 3 and you know the rest - I think he has some great players but there are two or three that need replacing as sometimes it just doesn't click - when it clicks for them they can beat anyone - if he can get the defence right and build from that they can do good things - they were one of the only couple of teams to beat Liverpool and beat city twice - when they were in a slump sure but still - this looking for instant success is a fools errand - stick with big ange

    30 points from the last 30 league games going back to April - this terrible run that's seen us slide into the relegation scrap started long before we had these injuries. Might need 5 more wins to stay up - where they coming from under this manager? He seems clueless about how to stop this long slump. I've seen a spurs team get relegated - in '77 - and believe me when I say that at the moment this team looks even worse.

    Really frustrated with Maddison yesterday. He was out for 'being sore' - if he's sore, how do Kulu, Porro, Son, Dragusin or Gray feel? They've played miles more minutes than he has and were all available for yesterday.
    Shows how much you can rely on him as a teammate. Proper vice-captain material that.

    Like you analysis. Being a bit cheeky, most managers come to Spurs to experience a losing culture as a learning curve and then move to other clubs to win trophies. I personally know Ange and can tell you he is not the issue ( ref Conte comments). Question what Agne was promised and what charter he was given and if he is being given the resources. I can tell you all the Spurs fans keep saying the EPL is different and only from media scrutiny noise money and resources the EPL excels but it is not the football that beyond Ange or other managers which come to the EPL. The key issue is money. Backing the manager and good recruitment. It’s obvious Spurs are not focussed on the football and the jaded supporters, manager and player recruited keep getting taken for a ride. I see Ange getting sacked and he will move on to another club and win trophies. Last point most of the players recruited and current squad are not good enough, top tier talent is not being recruited to win a championship. Just adding Ange was coached and mentored in coaching by one of the footballing and coaching greats Ferenc Pushkas and applies much of the Real Madrid philosophy which is about attacking and winning unlike Spurs for the last 40 years boring and irrelevant

    The state of this squad as it is now imo is beyond capable of salvaging anything under any manager . However I and many others , as long ago as when spurs lost to chelsea after the 10 games of Ange that were undefeated , were questioning if the players could cope with this high intensity style of play over the course of a season. The answer is now obvious , and again imo this is down to the fact Ange did not rotate players because after the first 10 games Spurs were not playing well consistantly (if at all) and Ange needed to play his best 11 every game to try and improve results. Which ever way you slice it Ange is the biggest reason Spurs sit 15th and have all these injuries.

    Harry Redknapp came in and saved us when we were circling the drain before, I'm not saying "Ange Out!" but if he did get the sack, I am sure it is not impossible to think of a plan and a realistic remuneration to get Redknapp back in until the end of the season-and maybe beyond.
    I can't see us beating Brentford and Everton should beat Leicester so we'd be down in 16th, if we don't get a major boost such as a mass return of our injured or a breath of fresh air from a Redknapp-type we may end up cementing our place in the bottom half of the table, desperately trying to avoid the drop and paying through the nose for it.

    The THFC hierarchy is obviously only concerned about lining their own pockets. There is nothing inherently wrong of course with making money; as this is not a charity after all and the club must be sustainable; also a dip in form is expected after a stadium project like ours..... but this is now beyond circumstantial/ It is so obvious that ENIC & Co do not care about the football at all and that is absolutely unacceptable when owning/running a football club; as that affects the people that pay for it all.

    I get that Levy is the issue but I am with Marlon, Ange is not for this club. It isn't going to work. He can go somewhere else and be successful. The tactical set up of the players is just not good enough as evidence by the same goal being scored over and over when the midfield is so far from the back line. If we know that this club runs the way it does than we need a manager who can work within those confines (even if they are only here for 18 months). I believe a different manager could do better with this squad. Some of the injuries are due to poor squad rotation, bringing players back too soon, and the system itself which has the defenders springint a lot in a game. If we believe that Levy needs to go then stop giving the club money. That is the only thing Levy values - money. Stop going to games, stop buying merchandise, don't go to entertainment at the stadium. Money talks.

    Sorry I no longer trust Ange 75% of injuries is DOWN TO HIM, i gave him a chance i wanted him to succeed i wanted him to learn from his non rotating faults at the start of the season. I went to the game yesterday expecting regullon to start not cos i am a fan of his but on Thursday Bergvall and gray collapses of tiredness after the game, is that not a red flag how exhaustedhe must be and what does ange do??? He plays Gray again... Now let's think about it if gray gets injured and he cant make the game for Thursday which is important what will Ange do?? He will moan saying we have no left back and who's fault would that be...ANGE. If I am wrong feel free to reply in comment as said I was at the game yesterday and I thought if reggie had been getting more game time he could have been even more effective.. ANGE OUT UNFORTUNATELY I TRIED BUT I DONT TRUST HIM NO MORE

    What would you expect Levy to say if he came on the show? Would he apologise for building you the best stadium in the country? Would he apologise for taking you from obscurity to a CL final? Would he apologise for spending the 4th most money on transfers in the PL in the last decade (behind, Chelsea, City, Utd and above Arsenal)? Would he apologise for generally being decisive when sacking managers that don't look like they're working (present manager excluded)? It's Spurs fans expectations that need to change, Levy's done more than anyone else would have done for your club.

    • @FudalwokitMusic
      @FudalwokitMusic 7 дней назад

      It’s the transfer type & wage policy that makes this spending an absolute waste of money. Also, we pay the highest season ticket prices in the premier league, and you say we have to lower expectations? There are many other changes that Levy has implemented that are NOT in the interests of the fan. Before you comment you need to know a little bit more than a few tag lines.

    • @stephenballantyne
      @stephenballantyne 7 дней назад +2

      @FudalwokitMusic but Spurs fans can't whine on about "backing the manager" constantly whilst ignoring the £1.4bn that's been spent over the last decade. And that is net of being gifted one of the best PL players ever that you sold for £100m. Arsenal have the highest season ticket prices (their cheapest tier is £200, 20% higher than Spurs) and you've got a world class stadium to pay for, what do you expect? The most successful team of the last decade has a cheapest season ticket that is half the cost of Spurs, the two things aren't directly related. Spurs average league finish for the 23 years prior to Levy was 9, post Levy it's 6 (excluding this year). What more could he do? Someone has to finish 15th, why shouldn't it be Spurs?

    How are you going to remove owners from their club ?? Unless you can find buyer's for them that will give them the money they are after , how do you do it ??
    At best all you can do is pressurise them throughout protests, but will that force them to speed up a sale ?? What if through pressure they are forced to sell and sell to someone worse , that has different plans for the club , what then ???
    How about voting with feet , mass organised walkouts during games , to grab attention. Boycotting games ??
