    I believe like a couple months ago that traffic light now is used as a normal one as before it used to activate for trains only. And now people stop at this signal.

    • @Gentrol
      @Gentrol  2 года назад +2

      Yes it did, and the ones behind got replaced by 12-12-PV and 12-12-PV-PV signals.
      I have yet to get a video of it.

    I notice there in Canada, the gates take longer to come down.

    • @Gentrol
      @Gentrol  4 года назад +4

      Actually, it's only at this crossing. The crossing is in a slightly dangerous location, and the crossing has a traffic signal preemption that takes a little longer to activate.

  • @DeTrafficStreetBeatz
    @DeTrafficStreetBeatz 3 года назад +2

    It seem like it would turn green as soon as the train is gone🚦🚦🚦

    • @Gentrol
      @Gentrol  3 года назад +1

      Yes! The intersection has a preemption whenever there is a train. From what I see. Good job noticing that!

    • @scottbc31h22

      Notice that there is an intersection just past the railroad crossing. The traffic signal at that intersection also controls the traffic light before the railroad crossing.
      And, that traffic light also communicates with the railroad gates.
      The system is designed and timed so that cars and trucks can never get caught on the tracks, while being stopped by the intersection's red light.
      So, the traffic light before the tracks will not turn green as soon as the train passes, unless the light at the intersection is green also.

    • @Gentrol
      @Gentrol  3 года назад +2

      Yeah, I knew that too. I found it really interesting, I think more intersections in this case should use systems like this.
