A total of 5 large Fire Bombers attended the Thomas Creek fire, plus six amphibious Air Tractor AT-802F Fire Boss scooper air tankers, aka 'skimmers'.

Conair does a great job, those people work non-stop during fire season.
They didn't fly very much the past two years, but 2021 is crazy busy.

I like how you bookended the FireBosses, first landing at beginning of vid and then taking off at end. They were in for food, foam, and fuel, and of course a well deserved break.
Were all the takeoffs and landings of retardant aircraft in between actually during the FireBosses time on the ground? If so...wow!

Fire fighting, picking up water from a lake and dropping it on a fire.
So what roles do those Air Tractors preform?
They scoop water out of lakes and drop it on the fire.

@@FlightData101 I just learned that. I see they scoop up water in a container under the belly of the plane and not the pontoon as someone mentioned.
