Have you ever provided remote support to an Ubuntu/Linux device where you can't establish an SSH or RDP connection? Did you use TeamViewer or an open source alternative? Let me know in the comments below.
Great tutorial Russell, I have been into Amateur Radio for about 45 years and now one of my Grandson's has shown an interest. So to get him listening I have put Ubuntu on an old laptop that used to run windows. I have then installed SDR++ so he can start listening to stations around the world. It is a fairly complex piece of software so I am sure I will have to go onto his laptop now and again to sort it out for him. This tutorial saved me hours of trying to work it out for myself.
So, I installed TeamViewer Host but the License Agreement window was blank. Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a work around or way to accept an agreement on the TV website?
I don’t know the answer but this post might give you some clues stackoverflow.com/questions/32257414/how-to-accept-teamviewer-license-agreement-from-under-console-at-first-launch
How come the teamviewer linux quicksupport app download for linux [ www.teamviewer.com/download/linux/ ] doesn't have x86 64/32bit and armv7 32bit download options? Does it operate at a level that doesn't involve isa [ instruction set architecture ] specifics?
Because it's designed for end users to install. I guess it's too much to expect them to identify their architecture so the installer does it for them. That's my guess at least.

Hello 😃 im using arm64 architecture and every time I start a new connection, it crashes after 2 seconds... I don’t know what else to do, please help
Hello. I think the only solution is to contact TeamViewer for support I’m afraid. Or maybe post about your problem in a Linux/TeamViewer forum.
@@RussellSmith ooh thank you so much. I ended up using DWServer, it’s pretty good
@@DreamCatcher201 I’m glad you found a solution 😊
I had to also login to the connecting device. thanks

@@RussellSmith So the thinking is that the single quicksupport download contains linux x86 64/32bit and armv7 64/32bit installers?
@@myusrn I don’t know for sure but I’d imagine that is correct.
Where did you and Argo go for lunch? 😆
Unfortunately nowhere 😅
