@themack74 I speak from experience. My murder case was dropped w/o Prejudice after 11 months, and the State was pissed. 2 years later, my Spot was raided and a .45 and 2 Ozs of Hard was found. I was arrested and charged for the gun. The state dropped the charge and 2 days later, the ATF came w/ a Warrant signed by a Federal Judge of Southeastern District Court of Wisconsin to take a DNA Swab from me. The Agent told me "if your DNA is found on the gun, you'll be facing 15yrs FED. Ceasefire Act.
Mind you, I only had 1 Felony conviction and no Misdemeanors at that time.
Here it is sometimes it's just best to plead guilty to a charge, but if your gonna fight it,you better read every word and understand it.

The difference is simple. The new charge is slightly different than what they charged him with initially. Remember y’all, verbiage matters most in legal matters. It’s basically the same gun charge but it’s not the exact same charge, that’s why Boosie was mad and said why didn’t yall charge that with the initial charge if yall was gonna do it
