That makes me so happy!! I'm glad you're liking them as much as I did! Have you tried Patricia Briggs yet? Her Mercy Thompson series might be a good one after you finish KD. :D Kim Harrison has quite different vibes, but some of my single favorite moments in UF came from her series, so I love her.
Love seeing the Sea Watch here!!!! So creative and fun indeed to explore the underwater realm in this one. I just finished Veiled Throne myself and really liked it-especially the cooking contest!! I jumped right into Speaking Bones and I can sense it becoming my favorite of the series already just hurtling towards an ending. Glad to get hyped for the Ruin of Kings, which has been waiting patiently on the shelf for its turn. Never heard of that Kim Harrison series but I’m always looking out for new urban fantasy-you are the booktube expert there! Love getting hyped for Mercy of Gods too!! Yesss 16 Ways!! Also like getting hyped to try that Mammay series. Finishing up with Howling Dark let’s gooooooo!!!! Right with you on the awkward time jump, but the scope as it goes and the villains and cosmic weirdness were all so cool. You are in for an unbelievable treat with Demon in White up next!! We both desperately need to read some more KJ Parker it seems too
The cooking contest was my favorite part of Veiled also - which is so funny considering how far removed from the main plot that was. I ate it all up. I'm hopeful he'll write more fantasy because his stuff is so good! Sooo many good books - I really loved everything on this list. It has been a great year! You're so far ahead of me with those authors that seem to work for us both!! I'm trying to read all Tchaikovsky but am only going slightly faster than he's writing them haha. Ruocchio. And then I was going to dive into all things Parker. But then you've been raving about GGK and I bought one and now I probably should quit my job to read all the things. I love that we have these amazing authors with loads of works to explore!

There are a couple books that I am late to the game on reading that are my best of the year: Mistborn and Last Arguement of Kings. Also well into a reread of Shadow Rising (WOT) which may top those.
oh nice! It’s fun to get around to some of those and realize you like them too. I’m sure I have several on my shelves that I’m going to love, if only I can make time lol. Some of the books in the series you’re reading are among my all-time favs.
