I was initially imagining the building as a weather or communications station. However, upon seeing the final diorama I imagine that it is actually a remote scientific outpost, dedicated to studying the weird monsters that live in the ocean of your world. In suitable pulp style, I imagine the scientist was trying to attract a specimen to study, and got more than they bargained for. Great build!

And that could be what the bit sticking out to the side is; I thought it looked like an old hoist or winch, it could be what they use to either lower bait down or hook monsters for study.

This might be my favorite build yet. In my mind the outpost is like a lighthouse but they have sufficient enough technology that it's just a point of interest that gets broadcasted out to boats as a little blip via a radar map, there can be plenty around the coast to map out badlands or just guide boats to ports

Exactly! Like a lighthouse, but with a radio tower instead. Maybe it sends out the tide reports and includes sea monster sightings to warn passing ships of various water hazards along the coastline.
"Increased sea snake activity off the coastline of Crystal Point. Be alert, it's mating season for the Rhino Crab, so watch out for randy crustaceans around the Stoney islands...", etc.

Radars and broadcasting is a bit too technologically advanced for the insane West. I'd rather he did it with messenger birds, or a giant megaphone-like contraption. Think of the storm ear from HTTYD. And a giant lamp for when they come within visual distance.

For the outpost, I think there are several possibilities
    1) It's someone's get away from the rest of the chaotic world you've built
    2) It's a single bandit's, or a few bandit's, hideout for safety, and people are deterred from coming because of the tentacle boi down in the water
    3) It is a lookout on the coast, as there are sci-fi flying/ocean-bound/mixture of both pirates always attempting to attack the large mining town (or whatever would be on the coast that generates big bucks), and this is only one of several protecting the coast. This is also one that's further ahead of the large wall/AA defense protecting the town. Undesirables or soldiers who are being punished are sent there to reflect on their actions/get rid of them, as it's relatively dangerous
    4) It's a kids hideout he's built up over the years and he feeds the monster and they've developed somewhat of a bond. The kid is a science prodigy and that's why it's so messy with sci-fi griblies

Finally a sea monster. You should definitely tap into the “van meter visitor”, it’s an pterosaur like creature that was spotted in Iowa 1903 in the mid west. the monster has a great wings and a horn that glows a blinding light and was said to fly around and would reside in the mines. Reports say it loves to perch on top of roof tops, I think it would fit perfectly into your Wild West aesthetic.

There has been a couple incidents of giant Pterasaur/Pterodactyl in the Midwest and CA area back in the late 1800', early 1900's that attacked livestock. Supposedly there is a photo out there that shows a group of cowboys standing in front of one that they had shot down. It was nailed to the side of a barn for the photo and had about a twenty foot wingspan.

He chose this spot because of the baby krakens in the area and studies their growth and socialization. The antenna is for sharing his research to the home base.

This is an awesome build as well. Something that I’d really love to see is some sort of Native American monster (I know you’ve already made a Wendigo, but I still think more couldn’t hurt.) Maybe even a monster hunting office, where monster hunters go to collect and receive bounties and rewards on monsters. Or even some kind of flying mechanic with Thunderbirds chasing it. I never get tired of seeing this series. It's like looking directly into your imagination. The device on the side of the outpost could be a winch for bringing stuff up into the shed since it sticks out over the water, you know for larger items that would be difficult to get across the bridge? Also something like an osprey or seagull nest with lots of droppings and fish bones under it would have been a cool touch, and metal like the brass railings in that environment could have quite a bit of corrosion if you wanted to add some weathering.

My thought is that this outpost acts as a relay station for the anti-monster signal that some of the explorer's machines put out. The big blocky thingy on the side is a transformer to boost the signal so that it reach the pioneers deeper in the wilderness. This particular location was chosen for the large lake creature; it acts as a deterrent to other monsters and allows the relay station to operate relatively "safely" and unhindered by other creatures. My husband and I thoroughly enjoy the lore and the world you are creating; we are certainly invested.

Another fantastic episode, Bolei. I know what both the platform on top and the machine attached to the side of the building do. The machine is a giant octopus parts processing machine. It's basically an oversized Cuisinart. Octopus parts go in one end, and a can of octopus flavored cat food come out the other. I'm surprised you don't know this. The top platform is where you go to get some fresh air. Let's just say that in the summer the aroma of giant octopus parts can get very... heady.
I love how you pour the resin against the stick to soften the impact of the resin so that you get less bubbles. This week's 'Brett's Big Brain Award' goes to Boylei!
I'd love to see a shot or two of your wire bending jig. The guitar strings are also a super cool material to use. They look great.
    Haha! Blue Steel!
The clear coat on the sides to create more visibility in the resin = Brilliant!
Thank you for the shout out! Much appreciated. Sorry about the novella that I've written here.

I love your dioramas. I get so many ideas for my own diorama works by watching your videos. Thumbs up to you and have a beautiful day.

Seeing that you have posted a new video is the highlight of my day!
perhaps this is a marine research and weather station, and the contraption is for transmitting the outpostman's findings and data to the mainland.

I believe that the outpost could be a sort of high tech lighthouse, using the box on the side to image the sea floor and the antenna to send the messages to ships.

I don’t know whats more impressive, the dioramas themselves or the way he guides us through the process!

It's like a lighthouse. Instead of light to indicate dangerous rocks nearby, it uses a morse code signal from the tower as a repeating "stay away" signal. This antenna keeper has a hazardous, lonely job, but he has saved countless lives.

Awesome! This one could def be a radio broadcast outpost. They broadcast to all of the other builds with antennas and update the townsfolk on monster activity or bounties. The griblies are a power booster.
