I dont need more books to buy! Haha! My shelves are already overflowing and so is my "books I'm interested in getting/reading list". But you've made a compelling case as always, so I'll have to succumb.
Andrew- To limit my sycophancy to one sentence: your content is near-salvific for my rhetorical education. I was curious if you had any opinion on Farnsworth's Classical English Series and his volume on Rhetoric in particular. It introduced me to many of the concepts you cover in your Quintillian Institute series. Thank you for all you do. Simon
You're too kind! I'm not very familiar with it: it looks like a public speaking-oriented text, and there's an unfortunate divide between the public speaking rhetoric (usually in communications departments) and the writing rhetoric (usually in English departments), so we sometimes miss what the other side is working on. Something, now, for my own reading list!
While I wait for my library to stock this one, do you have recommendations aimed more towards at home writers than academic students? I understand if a short general recommendation like this isn't realistic; I'll give The Writer's Style a shot regardless
You might check out Brooks Landon's book, Building Great Sentences. It's been a good while since I've looked at it, but I remember learning some good things from it
I love your videos, Andrew! Thanks for sharing here. Do you have a rhetoric textbook/reader you’d recommend for a dual enrollment course (English 101 for HS students)?
Hey thanks! That's a tough question since it probably depends on a lot of factors (curriculum, outcomes, etc.). We just went through a review of OERs to recommend to our dual enrollment instructors, and my favorite of the bunch was the one developed for the UNM Core Writing Program. I'd be happy to talk about it in greater depth if you want to send me an email sometime
Underrated channel

Ha, overflowing shelves are part of the package, I think
Fantazmic! Adding this one to "The Well Crafted Sentence"

@@WritingwithAndrew That's very kind of you. I will contact you via email! I don't see your email address here on YT. Can I find this elsewhere?
If you check the "about" section on the channel, you should find it there
Great
Thanks
