What an adventure....that wind was absolutely crazy, looked to be blowing at least 60kph, it's actually crazy you managed to get some good shots of the Milky Way without obvious camera shaking. Truly impressive and also very epic shots! 👍😊
@@inefekt The wind was totally crazy and just kept getting stronger. Shooting at 10mm helped with reducing the effect of the vibration, but I was also applying a lot of downward force on the tripod which helped. Didn't dare not hold onto it 😊
Wow, that landscape was just incredible!! Loved the images you got, Greg - I imagine you were disappointed not to get the tracker etc out, but honestly those simple shots were just amazing, really conveying the atmosphere the video portrayed. Loved it. Oh, and can we talk about those gorgeous looking old Land Cruisers? 😍
Thanks Paul, fortunately the nomad wasn't taking up a lot of space in my bag as it didn't get a lot of use on this trip 🤷, but it was a reminder that you can still get amazing images with a simple setup - might be another video in that 😂. Yes there were literally 100s of those old landcruisers at Bromo - all kitted out with massive wheels, tyres, spotlights etc. They had certainly cornered the marked - and not a Hilux in sight unlike Australia 😂
@@Winged-qh8zf Their architecture, gardens, art and smiles - the list goes on 😊. Bromo crater is huge, and sounds hollow underneath if you drop something heavy on the ground - let's hope the smaller vents keeps the pressure from building.
Amazing vidceo Greg loved all the images, including Star Trails and the timelapse. Everything looks epic.. The sunrise next morning looked so amazing.. The wind looks so unpleasant.. I hope the gear clean-up didn't take too long
@@dancastromusic Thanks Dan, had an absolute blast. Everyone got on really well and were open to go with the flow depending on what suited the conditions.
Come to Dieng you can see sunrise in mount prau, you can see sindoro sumbing mountains there many plants and vegetables, and fruits the weather is so cold

So interesting how each culture interprets the sky according to their own environment. Here in Australia the First Nations people refer to the rising Milkyway as the Emu in the sky.
The wind was manageable but the dust/ash was the biggest problem for camera gear. I didn't dare change my lens. I've been told if I'm a good boy thru till Xmas, Santa may look on me favourably 😉
Such beautiful scenery and views. Amazing. Thanks for sharing. 💕
East Java is an amazing place to visit 👌

Looks like you had very challenging conditions on top of the mountain. Some epic locations but a tough assignment! 😒😎
@@geoffsharpe6456 Thanks Geoff, thankfully our perseverance was rewarded with some pretty unique images
Just clicked the video and i already impressed with their unique house architecture. Also, never expected the crater would be so wide!

Oh my - that wind would have been awful to contend with. And full of dust too. So many interesting experiences.
@@denisesavage2382 Yes, the wind and ash was a real challenge but it did create a pretty epic landscape 😊

@@ViratShah Thanks mate. The conditions were certainly challenging at times but they added to the epicness of trip and the results we achieved.

What an epic trip, that wind would have been difficult to setup in. So when are you getting the drone?
