I like the song too but the artwork is AI generated that is why it is a big deal. Again I am not critical of the song because I think it is a banger but the art is meant to be a reflection of the artist in my opinion and if they don't commission the art or make it themselves that's just weird. This is AI generated, passed off as their own, that is terrible.

Is this a joke? 2:59? I thought there had to be an original mix with a length of minimum 5 minutes. I’m not bothered to purchase this, sorry, even if I otherwise like it. Tracks just keep shrinking but this is becoming so sad that soon it’ll be me in need of a shrink. Everything that comes out of Monstercat Silk has got a length around 3 minutes. Way too short to enjoy! There used to be extended mix versions. They aren’t released or made any more. If it is an artist’s decision, Silk has got to be more demanding towards producers. If not, they need to be more demanding towards themselves.
From what Darlington has said, the extended mixes are negatively impacting the listen counts because they split it into two tracks so none of them gets popular. However I think on Gold, where Monstercat has no competition, there is no excuse not to have them.

Checked releases where I was missing Extended versions, music made by artists that I know traditionally make extended versions, including this release by LTN. There is none that exists. Not on Gold, not on Beatport either. Unsubscribed immediately even if it cost me a month’s payment. I am dying to know if it is the otherwise brilliant artists’ decision or if it is a Monstercat policy. If the latter, I think Silk has made a huge mistake by signing a deal with Monstercat. With other labels I can still see a ton of longer mixes and I think people should have a choice. Nobody was forced to listen to or buy extended versions, now some of us against short versions are forced to accept «demos».

There are definitely ways to properly use AI art such as using them to get ideas and/or for references, but using AI art as cover art over individual illustrators that spend hundreds of hours honing their craft with their own hands is a big spit in the face honestly

They have extended mixes available on gold and beatport usually, although it does suck that they're no longer available on streaming platforms
