You All went from 😂-😢, when you couldn't get that Giant back-down! I Felt it! I? Dunno, but can't you eat the Meat? Or possibly give to the Community? I'm used to Ca., Ocean Creatures! (Pacific). It Look's as if it was a Grouper! I do like to see the catch n cook, maybe next time! GBU.,SM.,NZ., ✌❤😁👍🐟🌊🙏😌
Barotrauma causes internal damage to organs so fish end up dying anyway, even if they swim off (with the exception of some species that can self-vent on the way up, like red emperor). There’s some studies that have been done where fish like Fingermark/golden snapper are kept in cages after being caught and they end up dying about an hour or so later, even though they seem fine on release. So it’s part of fishing for demersals that can’t self-vent in deeper water. Some species can’t even survive being caught from 10-12 meters deep. Best thing to do is google the species of fish you catch and see if they’re susceptible to barotrauma or not and then you’ll know if it’s worth trying to revive them or not. I stop fishing once I’ve caught a couple and then go shallower and chase different species. Not much you can do about by catch in your case though but it was definitely nice to see you trying as hard as you did 👍🏼
Guys that was an awesome trip with some amazing fish, sorry for the big boy that could not release but that happens for sure. Well done for the effort to try.
Great episode. There’s a lot to be said for semi-displacement cruising. Incredible how efficient diesels can be at those speeds. My missus reckons that our next boat must have a throne!! Reckon I will try the suggestion of using the anchor chain as a release weight next time.
Hey legends love the channel we would use the anchor with 6 pound line to get this big dog back to the depths have done it a few times with some big cod in WA hopefully this may help for everyone reading the comments
Another Awesome Vid Bummer about the big Cod but you did everything you could to release it good variety of nice fish looking forward to next week keep up the great work Cheers
Awesome vid guys and that was one fat AJ and cod, i can see you tried everything possible to release the big old girl and I’d say you were thinking it but I’m just wondering how fisheries would go if you brought it in for examination? Surely they would understand you not wanting it to be wasted? love your work and keen as for next week 🤙🤙
Bloody awesome vid mate love it u and your wife do bloody well and watch all content u 2 put out. I’m from Mackay and I caught a huge black jewfish and did the same as u guys did I swam that fella for a good 10-20mins and he didn’t make it either I pulled him out of 70feet don’t know what happened but think it was just to much for the big fella and possibly had a heart attack on way up we fort for about 15mins before I got him up. Anyway that’s enough of me gibbering on lol. Love the content guys keep it going thanks again for it all
I heard popping the stomach that sticks out the mouth kills fish. Popping the airbag behind the pectoral fin is the go. Just what I heard, no expert here though.
It’s ridiculous that you have to throw it away it’s a waste of a fish if you have tried everything and it’s not happening then you should be allowed to keep it
Awsome video guys can’t wait for next episode yah ha
Holy heck what a day!
Awesome, loved the ending and so looking forward to the next adventure.
Epic trip mate love the episode. Job well done trying to save the big old girl
Great video

Use your anchor ⚓ with a light break away in those random situations where you need to a Goliath back down.
Cracker episode brother 👍😀
Thanks my brother from another mother
Was that an AJ that granny griff got it looked different
Granny Griff got a Goldband Snapper
@OuterLineAdventures very nice
What a session
Great vid! Can't wait for next week!
Awesome Ep guys and lovely fish, Gee that boat cuts the water well 11knots cruise speed thats unreel,

4.5km to the litre wow. Looks like it would roll pretty bad with low sides like that.
Man that thing was mammoth. Thanks for explaining about the cod. Even I didn't know that.

So what did you do with that Goliath? Hope you kept it!

Should have put the fish back sooner. Poor bugger.
top show, awesome boat. How's that fuel economy ! outstanding 🎉
Why not use a release weight, mandatory to have onboard in WA, not sure about over there
Thats why don't Catch and release in the deep unless you know what your doing or take it home share it out
Awesome guys! What a sick boat, absolute ripper catches and you did what you could on the monster! As usual loving the content!!
What did use actually do with the cod since it was over size? Just curious to know what to do I'm this instance
So are you allowed to keep the fish or do ya just have to let it float away and be eaten by sharks
Another Awesome Vid Bummer about the big Cod but you did everything you could to release it good variety of nice fish looking forward to next week keep up the great work Cheers
Amazing episode 😊Next level and epic 👏🏼👌🏽👍🏼 beautiful fishing 😊 and the boat is amazing 💯 Thanks for Sharing & cheers 🍻 legends from South Africa 🇿🇦
What happened to the big cod? Did you let it go for the sharks to eat, or did you keep it and risk being fined by authorities, which is BS ?
Another awesome video mate well done.
My missus wants to know what's the name of your wife's akubra
Akubra Avalon mate. The colour is hazelnut
@@_OuterLine legend that's m8

Can you talk more about the boat, how is it so good on fuel?
I heard popping the stomach that sticks out the mouth kills fish. Popping the airbag behind the pectoral fin is the go. Just what I heard, no expert here though.
Hey did you know my uncle helped you make your RUclips name outer line adventures😊
Use the anchor with some 20lb connected to the fishes mouth
That should get it down next time.
The fish had something similar to the Benz. Don't Catch and release fish in the deep water gotta poke something up the fish's ahole to release air
It’s ridiculous that you have to throw it away it’s a waste of a fish if you have tried everything and it’s not happening then you should be allowed to keep it
Nice try with the big cod mate 😊
