I am a Retired Nurse, I didn't work on the Sabbath, because there was Not a Way for me to concentrate on having a True Communion with God, during those Holy Day! I went through a lot of pain and suffering, but My God, open a most wonderful door for me. I worked for fifty years, and was able to be free to observe the Sabbath, Praise God for His Faithfulness.

I am also in the health field working every other weekend. But I give the money I work for on Saturday to the church. We are command to do good on the Sabbath . God is good put Him to the test He will bless your faithfulness. Because the Sabbath is rich with blessings.

I am so hooked on this Minister, he's my teacher, I'm learning so much from Pastor Skeete and I like his inclusion of every person, he never leaves the children out and his way of welcoming his visitors is delightful. This man has been specially chosen by God who continues to put his word in his mouth. The greatest thing about him, he's so humble and he makes everybody feels comfortable in his presence. No disrespect to Pastor Randy Skeete intended. A man asked a question earlier. I am giving an alternate answer... more simplified. This is a paraphrased question. But, I believe it is what the man was asking...
"I have a problem with the church. I went to church, I accepted Jesus Christ but now I don't want to stay in the church. Do I still have to keep coming to church in order to be saved? I am trying to save myself and it is so hard."
My Answer:
First of all we cannot save ourselves. It is our faith in the saving blood of Jesus Christ that saves us. But, in order to continue to be saved we must be putting on Christ daily and surrendering our will to Him daily, repenting of our sins daily so that Christ can work in us (Acts 26:20). The Bible says that sin separates us from God; it hides His face from us (Isaiah 59:2). If we remain in our sins than He cannot work in us. Therefore, we can lose our salvation. Now, saying all of that…
Do you understand what leaven is?
We put yeast (leaven) in flour to make it rise correct? The Bible talks about leaven of righteousness and leaven of sin. If we allow one to grow, either sin or righteousness, the other has no place to dwell. This is called growth... Spiritual growth (read Galatians 5:16-26). As you put the ways and character of Christ to use in your life the ways of the old self will leave you. In order to stay saved, one must put on Christ every day so that the ways of sin (the old leaven) can have no place to live. In this way Christ will be able to reign in us (John 14:15-16; 14:21).
Now... it doesn't happen over night. But, as we grow, the old ways grow further and further away and ways of Christ take it's place. Jesus Christ told us that if we would hunger and thirst for His righteousness we shall be filled (Matthew 5:6 see also Jeremiah 23:5-6) This process is done as a cooperative effort between us and God (1 Corinthians 3:7-9). We are co-laborers together with God in this righteousness. If we make the choice and put in the effort, Christ, by way of the Holy Spirit will make it happen.
But... if we walk away... we are on our own. We cannot do any of this without Christ in us during this life.
As an example... when you go to school, you learn mathmatics, language, science. What was in the place of these subjects before??? Empty space.
You cannot unlearn these subjects. But, if you aren't continually studying you will cease to grow and eventually the understanding will be faulty. You then will not be fit for the final exams let alone the job that you are hoping to attain. This is the same understanding as with righteousness. It takes a constant study and doing in order to be full in ones life.

Maybe the question can be asked in this way: can a man serve God if he doesn't go to church? Maybe you can clarify using scripture; many people are seeking a reliable answer to this question. I thought that Paster Skeete was very clear in his sermons and God had and the Holy Spirit were with him. I was raised a SDA, but left the church in my 20’s I am coming back with much study and listening to these pastors who use their Bibles to teach you to study and learn truths, not yet open to mine eyes, I am so thankful for God to send someone to help me. I am saying to you... “no disrespect to Pastor Randy Skeete intended”. Was disrespect. I am not sure who you are, but you understand this fellow with the question better then the Pastor??? I read what you put down, and you missed some vital information that was covered by Pastor Skeet’s throughout this ministry of his. I hope you are satisfied that you have now set this poor soul straight. You have good intentions, but Pastor Skeete is giving us the Whole plan of Salvation, and you just reiterated what he was saying to begin with. God forgive me for feeling irritated about your message from Someone who is a Christian. But, let the Minister of God speak with us without the distraction of people’s own views. Please forgive me God for opening my lips in a reprimand please take this irritation away to show your mercy and love in my soul... in Jesus name Amen.
@@beckyparks7295 Forgive me. I was just giving some added insight that God was pressing upon my thoughts. It is a difficult question to answer and there was some things that were added upon that Pastor Skeete did not mention. So you know, I have seen many of Pastor Skeetes sermons. Some of the things I mentioned were things I learned of him previously which he did not mention on this occasion. I hope the addtional information was helpful to others. Blessings.
@@GRYL180 whether the man stays in the church or goes on his own is up to him and God. If the church he is attending is not spiritually nourishing him he must find another that is.
What I answered was a much bigger question which the man inadvertently asked. "How can I save myself?". Again, I was just elaborating on what Pastor Skeete said. Blessings.
