I have a near mint Bw80 and just picked up an amazing Bw200... The 80 is a blast to drive and pulls me quite well for being 170. Cant wait to get home and ride my 200. (on honeymoon)
My 200 was never easy to start either - yours sounds good! Thank you for sharing! I love the BigWheels. Here's a quick slideshow of my BigWheel 200 transformation to-date - to a 700 EFI Raptor engine. I still have lots of engineering and fabrication and welding to do but it's coming along. Lol you continued reving it after accidentally reving it when you started to push it backwards from in front of it. Something I'd probably do as well. "See? I meant to blip the throttle". I find these bike surprisingly desirable, much want, such jelly
I have 3 85's and they are fun, selling one soon to get a 350..the 85's still have many parts (and C.D.I.'s ! ) available. check the Bigwheel thread on adventurebiker under thumpers..

Awesome BigWheel... I forgot all about these. Big thanks for sharing.
I used to have one. Had to sell it tho. I really miss it! It was a blast to ride
that thing looks like a blast
What aftermarket exhaust did you order? I'm having trouble finding any that were made. I'm thinking of using a TW200 slip on and modifying it.
Wish my bro still had his . That thing was a blast .
+IRON MAN Yup they are fun , was looking for a BW350 when i dumped this one but never found one.
Hard to come by now !
Do you still have this machine?
I miss my 1985 BW 200 wish i never sold it . Haven't seen a runing Bw since in my area.
My question is: Why did you not have the bike under some type of protection from the elements?
Wanted it for a "Winter bike" So wanted to see how she would start in the cold full of snow
