    you could already tell from the beginning this car was in good shape, just needed a really good cleaning. owning a foxbody for 11 years you can see what parts make this thing so clean and original. i love the original look of these mustangs.

      100% that was a great car to start with. First wash in 15 years? Maybe, but 14 of those it was probably indoors. Virtually no deep scratches, rust, dents, or sunburn thinning the paint. That car was taken care of for a long time before it spent any real time outdoors.

    What’s even more exciting than seeing this wonderful detail job is actually seeing a properly functioning ashtray door in a Foxbody. Those of us familiar with Foxbody Mustangs know exactly what I’m talking about. 😂

    I don't know about about anyone else, but I really enjoy watching the paint transfer from older paint jobs like this get air compressed off the buffer, at least once or twice. I'm almost positive there was a lot of paint transfer on this one. Your videos are still the one thing I look forward to the most on Thursdays!!

      @@jayasmrmore3687 just look at 20:25 were he just touched those and they wobbled around + left side were hanging towards the bumper while in the end on the other timestamp they are aligned and doesnt move while he puts his coating on. so atleast they were off the car to either replace or redo them given that its not shown they are probably just replaced.

    Nice one! Re the seats - I've encountered this with mostly convertibles of this era. My best guess is a combo of sunlight, leather conditioner without cleaning first, and subsequent dirt gathered while the top is down.

      Xtreme APC does a great job of removing dirt from tires, but weak to remove silicone based tire dressings.

    I was really anticipated to see how you were going to bring the headlamps back to life. But it never showed you curing the headlamps. Did you actually cured it or just replaced it?

      Me too! I have a 98’ Ford and the headlights look awful. It looks like he put in new ones. That’s what I’ll have to do. New assembly on both sides

      @@JAMESYBOY. they are not easy lights to find ,they haven’t been made in years , you can find ugly after markets but most people with these rarer fox body’s want to keep them factory OEM. There is new old stock out there but they sell for upwards of 1500.00 a set. You can restore these lights easily , it takes knowledge and time but original are the original and depending on the purpose of the car most will go that way … providing they can find someone that knows how.

    I did a full detail on a red Fox body convertible years ago. It was a big job and took 2 days. The paint looked like red chalk. The owner who was a coworker of mine was going to get it repainted and I told him that I could restore his paint and save him thousands. He was absolutely amazed when he picked his car up.

    Pro tip take the center caps off cars that have then and clean the lugs too.Helps prevent swelling lug nuts from harsh weather conditions ...I used have a detailing company of my own and now I’m a mechanic so I got best of both worlds lol

    For cleaning the seats I have always used Spray Nine. It works better then anything else I have tried. Be doing details for over 30 years. Give it a try.

    I always pop those center caps off the wheels to get that dirt and nastiness out of the lines. Not saying anything about mad, it’s just something I’ve always done. I just use a 🐗 hair brush to get the area around the lug nuts clean. I like when the lug nuts are exposed and chrome. They usually clean up nice and make a difference.

    I´m actually in the process of hopefully buying a Ford Mustang GT cabriolet from 1993 that´s been parked on the same spot the last 20 years. I helped the owner with moving it to a new spot, since it´s in Sweden and he lives in Australia. He told me he´s been thinking about selling it when I asked if I could buy it. I just got so stoked when I managed to start it and drive it to the new spot, that I wanted to get it and restore it. I gave it a quick exterior wash before parking it. The inside is still really dirty though. I think there´s even some mold on the leather. Thanks for this video.

      None of these answers are correct. Foxbody is the name given to all 79-93 Mustangs. The chassis was code named Fox by the manufacturer. The 79-93 mustang body on the fox chassis.

      It is easy to do if oxidation is on the exterior of the lens, however on the interior it is difficult

    I had a '91 Mustang GT hatchback. Loved that car. Built like a tank and so much fun to drive. Put 90k miles on it and would still have it to this day had someone not stolen it from my driveway, stripped it and dumped it's poor carcass in the middle of a dry river. It still hurts.

      Get a pro eagle they use honda engines I pressure wash for a living I've seen those pro eagles catch on fire, get tipped over, etc. And still start up
