    The HB Amarok has to be one of the sickest guitars out there for the price. If I had an extra 100 dollars to drop I definitely would have gotten an Amarok over my Schecter Omen 6, lol. If I could have both though? Ugh, dream come true.

    I noticed you included Silvera, which is in D, pretty high for baritone standards. I'll be getting an Amarok as my 2nd ever guitar as an exclusively metal musician soon, but I'm wondering if I should get the 6 string, 7 string, BT, etc.
    1) From your experience, does it feel "necessary" to have a baritone after some point? If so, where is that point? B standard? A standard?
    2) Does a baritone feel a lot different to a normal scale length? I play on a 25.5 superstrat, and I'm wondering how big the difference is when you go up to a 27. Is it significantly harder to grab some chords, or do a power chord on the first fret, etc?
    3) How "limiting" is a baritone as a main guitar? How easy is it to play tunings like D, Eb or even E on a baritone? Borderline impossible? How high can you go before the tension becomes unbearable or even dangerous to the instrument?
    Basically I'm just asking if a baritone as a main instrument is a silly choice, and how hard the transition might be, or how limiting it might be
    Anyways, great video, thanks a lot in advance!

    • @slamdmkv
      @slamdmkv 3 года назад +6

      I don’t know if this helps but when I switched from a 25.5 to a 27 inch 7 string, I never really noticed a difference in how long it feels, I can play most chords just as easy on it as a 25.5

    • @headsliceband

      @@KonStafylides Hi, it's maybe late, but...
      First point, in the band we play in drop B, and we play now on baritone guitar becaus the intonation is more accurate on a 27" or 28" scale length. You can use strings gauge like 11/56 or 12/60 with this configuration.
      If you go lower, you have to increase the size of the strings.
      Second point, yes a baritone feels different than a regular guitar, you have to try it.
      Last point, this is not an instrument that you can use in any situation, but just like an other guitar. If you have a regular guitar with 10/46 strings, it's difficult to play in B standard with this configuration.
      If you are interested in baritone and lower stuff, check The Bunn channel 😉
      And if you're curious, check our band page 🤘

    • @Sanderson890
      @Sanderson890 2 года назад +1

      I don't really feel the difference between 25.5 and 26.5/27 inch scale. But having a baritone as your main guitar could be limiting, it all depends on what music you wanna play. If you wanna play for example Breaking Benjamin stuff or Slipknot stuff, it's good, I have my baritone tuned to drop A# and its awesome. But if you wanna play in standard tuning too, it might be better to buy a 7 string, it takes time to adjust to the +1 string, but you have more versatility. I have my 7 string tuned to drop A. 25.5 scale can still handle drop B though (I have one in that tuning and its not bad, but the string gauge must be really thic).

    Sounds awesome! Have you checked intonation above 12th fret? I bought an Amarok-7 with 25.5", but returning it because it was very hard to intonate low B, it was sharp by 35 cents at first. Now it is 5-15 cents sharp. With spring removal it is in tune, but saddle is maxed. With Drop A it is even worse, obviously. So I'm looking into buying Amarok-6 and Amarok-BT instead one 7string :)
